Martin goes to HOF induction ceremony

Post#1 » by KM44 » Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:22 pm

I came across this today when I was reading the paper, and I was really impressed by Martin getting a little love from the greatest player of all time.
http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/2183245.html

"I was congratulating him, just telling him it was well-deserved," Martin said. "And the first thing he said was, 'I can't wait to be here for your (Hall induction).' So I told him, 'Quit drinking.' "

Hopefully that comment could entice martin to play some MJ caliber defense...

Yeah, the Sac Bee did mentioned this in another article about a month or so ago that Martin will attend the ceremony.

Anyways, I'm glad that Martin was grateful with his experience. Hopefully, he takes something from it.

Haha, that was a nice thing for Jordan to say, even if he knows it's incorrect.

Martin can score the rock. If he keeps doing it for the next 8 years and stays healthy he will have over 20,000 points. If we win a title and he's a major piece...it really could happen. I didn't even count playoff games in those figures. If you play for a title you play an extra 20 games, or another quarter season. Kevin Martin usually plays 60-70 games (health) a season. If he could stay healthy and get those extra games (like all the other HOF players) then he will be noticed.

I don't think Kevin Martin will be a HOF player right now, but I am saying it's not impossible. James Worthy is in the hall, but you see who he played with.

Yeah, I at least wish Kevin had a different attitude about it. It's not likely, but it's the kind of thing that would be a nice goal for him. It's not like it's so ridiculous. I'd like to see him have a more Artesty attitude about it.

He could make the HOF if he gets traded to a better team and wins some rings. It's very unlikely that he'll make it but it's still a possibility.
