I think he is already one of the top 15 players in the NBA...maybe top 10. I would take him straight up in trade for Rose this minute. The only player in the league with more all around talent in every area is Lebron. This guy will stuff stats better than Marion in his prime. I know it's a bold statement but I think this guy has HOF written all over him and I'm not afraid to say it.

Some other dude on this board went off about him last season and literally 50 people were laughing at him and mocked him for 10-15 pages. Don't read what others say...watch. I've always liked to step up and make bold predictions because I'm not a coward like most posters.

If anyone knows of a place that I can make online bets about his stats for the season, I'd appreciate a link so I can take the over.

Whether he is 6' 9' or 7'2" we will witness the birth of a superstar this season.

You're delusional.

I think you're way off base with this post, and your general expectations for Randolph.

Having said that, I can only applaud you for having the balls to say what you feel about it. I'm guessing 99% of the board will disagree with you, and I think they would be right in doing so. But still.. Kudos for having the cojones.

while I agree with you that Randolph is ubertalented and has a high ceiling I have to say you're delusional thinking he's a top15 (let alone top10) player already. he's a top15 prospect maybe.

The story goes that Garnett actually was measured at 7'1" early in his career but refused to let it be recorded because forwards that tall didn't exist back then and he feared being turned into a center. He knew he would be a much more dynamic player as a 7'1" combo forward, without having to take the beating due to his weight. So when asked he would say he was 6'13".

Wasn't that 15-11 over like 7 games at the end of the season? Tough to consider those legit numbers until he does it consistently over the course of an entire season.

Ndubi Ebi went for like 13.5/8 at the end of the '04-05 season in 27mpg. Doesn't mean squat.

Not saying AR's going to turn into Ebi, but let's not crown Anthony Randolph as the next Knicks' version of Channing Frye, just yet. ;-)

J~Rush wrote:What position is he going to play?

I see him having a similar role to KG offensively in his prime. Please read the bold since I know so many posters like to take things out of context. Defensively, he probably will never come close to Garnett's ability, but that's not a terrible thing, since so few do.

I'd say think:
offense: young KG (at SF)
defense: Josh Smith

He's one of the new hybrid forwards and that is a terrific prospect to have.
