The Lakers have 2 things stopping them from being flawless. A pg and a backup 2/3 and I think he will make the team because he is a young backup 2/3 who is extremely long and athletic and can guard mulitiple positions. He will also out play Morrison.

P.S. It's good to see people here knowing we need a backup at that position because the other board I am at the people think it's stupid for the Lakers to add anybody lol. I actually got ripped for suggesting adding a nice 2/3 backup.

Anyway Kobe seems to like him which helps.

We needed a long, athletic swingman who can finish on the break and playing 10-15mpg of solid defence. Gelabale might be our man. His stats in Seattle were nothing special, but he did put up 5ppg in 17mpg, so he know hows to put the ball in the basket. The guy can jump out of the gym to boot.

Well no offense but that was silly imo. Sun Yue is a scrub plain and simple. This guy fits a real need, a long athletic backup swingman who can not only give Ron and Kobe a break but can allow Brown to really give it a go at pg instead of backup 2 which without him is the smart move.

imo, sun still wasnt ready to contribute during his first year... was simply too wiry and thin to withstand the NBA

then he chose to go play with china instead of staying for summer league...

that made it plain and simple regarding his committment to the lakers

rightly let go, hope he succeeds in NY

This guy has the potential to be our Trevor Ariza replacement...i really think he's going to shine with the Lakers if he gets a roster spot.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
