Not much we haven't said or read elsewhere - the experts are pessimistic; consensus is 3rd in the Pacific, maybe a playoff team.

I can't believe people don't think the Suns are a lock for the playoffs. They'll be in semis at least, hopefully the WCF and Finals. They're contenders still. Nash, Amare, Hill, J-Rich, Barbosa? Killer team!!!
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

Dude we're one of the softest teams in the West. We can't play D or rebound, our offense alone can make us a 6th seed at best. Get over it

seriously...

the kings? with that team, not in a million years

the warriors? ther is no way they are better than the suns right now.

the clippers? its actually pretty close, but:

Nash and JRich are better than bdiddy and eric gordon/maggette
hill is better than thorton
as of right now, amare is better than griffin
frye is < or equal to camby. completely different games.

the clips are talented, but not as much as the suns. in a couple of years? probably. right now? no.

The Clips don't have Maggette lol.
Suns are second best in Pacific. Not even close.

Third? Now that's crazy talk. Right now the Suns are a lock for second with the possibility of even being the best team in the pacific. Remember last year they still won like 46 with all the changes that happened, the drama and with the team tanking a few games to get Porter fired. No reason why they can't win 10-15 more games this season, much better team this year than last year.

3rd in the Pacific? They are probably thinking Warriors for 2nd. If they can get their off court issues together and play with some chemistry the Warriors could be dangerous enough to go for the 8th spot.

I think we can be a playoff team but we'll need contributions from our young players. We'll need them especially if we want to keep out vets as fresh as possible to make some noise in the playoffs, which is unlikely if we are 8th.

You really don't know what constitutes a good team do you? This team is barely a playoff team and you're talking about WCF and Finals?

they gotta be thinking the clips... there's no way they jump like 40 more wins this year with the addition of Griffin...

I like how they discredit the Suns even though the Suns as a franchise has always been pretty successful in terms of winning games, yet they give a team like the Clippers, who have consistently been in the top 10 draft picks every year for the past 20 years all this hype because they got the number one draft choice again. SMH. These so called "analysis" are terrible.

Yeah the Clips are still pretty bad. Blake Griffin? That's fine, you got a good rookie who will probably get pretty much a green light so great development opportunity for him. But BDiddy is really bad, terrible person to run an offense. A couple young guys who are pretty good, and Camby - how old is Camby right now? I won a bet last year because Camby played less than 70 games...and would more than make that bet again.

I have said this in another thread, but I am expecting the Suns to be better than a 1st round exit this season. Not sure that they will go further than that, but I still think we have a good enough team to get to the second round.

Amen, you'd be foolish to ever write off a healthy Nash & Amare combo.

ah....sit back and enjoy the optimism...

for the next few weeks, we all can bask in the may bes, what ifs, I hopes and I thinks.....

then the Toldyas and what-were-we-thinkings surface as we grind it out for the yr.

We are going to have to condense the learning curve and get into the playoffs ... and it would surely be better to be the 4, 5, 6 seed than 7 or 8.

From the looks of things, LA and SA should be 1-2.....

It aint easy being us. A fan membership should include some purple and orange thumbs screws. Atleast the boys checked in early and have been hoopin now for a couple weeks. I think (you see, I just tossed one out there) our conditioning will set us apart from many teams.
