Kenyon says......

Post#1 » by Dalakerbox » Mon Sep 21, 2009 8:26 pm

This guy really believes the Nuggets are a better team than our beloved Lakers! Even if we had swept them last year he would be saying the same ish. Not taking anything away from the talent over there in Denver because they have a really good thing going, but Kenyon in my opinion did nothing to help them so he should be the last player speaking out.

Note to Denver- you have a really good team but are missing a few pieces, and wouldn't even be considered the best in the East. So before you go jumping out the window with comments like this, think about it first because it is only fueling our fire to a repeat and eventual three-peat

Whatttttttttttt............. Kmart has a history of I GOT MY ARSE WOOPED BY THE HANDS OF THE LAKERS...................... Both in the NBA finals when he was with the Nets as well as the W/C finals. He has failed at failing so many times that it would be wise of him to just STFU and go on with his NBA career and hope he never has to play the Lakers ever again.

He reminds me of a guy that wants to fight this other guy for ten bucks and every time he gets his arse kicked he keeps yelling, "Okay double or nothing" and he only has ten bucks in his pocket.

DD did i get that from you?, "fake tough", I fn' love that, I've been using that in everyday life. I stole it from someone on this board. It had to be you DD, cuz you referenced KG at that time as well.

Kenyon's an ass, they aren't better than the LAL, but they easily could have beat the Lakers in that series. As we know T Ariza stole two games from them. According to J. Ireland "the LAL insider" a prominent person within the Laker brass stated without Trevor Ariza's late game heroics in those two games, the coaching staff agreed, DEN advances, the LAL lose.

As a fan I thought that as well, but to hear that from brass makes it a lot more legit. That's why I was bitching and moaning for T Ariza so hard over Lamar if a decision had to be made, little did I know Shin 'Test was ready to rumble.

Go Lakers!

i dont disagree... its at least worth debate...

their 1-8 is maybe marginally slightly more talented than our 1-8 (lakers w/ ariza edition, nugs w/ dahntay)...

kmart doesnt take into account the coaching advantage though

denver played us pretty well, until those last 5 quarters...

kmart speaks like someone who has never reached the top. on the surface, one could argue that two simple possessions were the difference between two lakers wins and two nuggets wins, but like a saying in baseball goes, its a game of inches. so while on the surface you lost by an inch, that inch is the last and most difficult obstacle you'll ever encounter on your journey. that inch is more like a mountain with no visible top, and only the ones that have conquered it truly know how high it is.

its like saying the lakers "should" have beat the celtics if they simply would have completed their huge come back and held off their collapse. one, two possessions go different in each game and the lakers are two time defending champions. truthfully, they really weren't that close, that inch wasn't really just an inch. luckily the lakers realized it last yr and were able to adjust this yr and prepare for the mountain. unfortunately for kmart, he still thinks its an inch.

reminds me of this little exchange when someone keeps up for the start, but when championships are won in big moments by big time players, they're nowhere to be seen.

kmart: i almost had you
kobe: You almost had me? You never had me - you never had your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! You almost had me?

That team that we played last year isn't the same, they didn't get better. Jones and Klezia is gone and I know damn well Smith is going to guard Bryant at all, he'll be at the line the whole damn game. They gotten weaker and it will show in the post season too.
