So the Spurs are pretty much stacked this season.
Tony Parker/George Hill
Manu Ginobli/Roger Mason/Keith Bogans
Richard Jefferson/Michael Finley
Antonio McDyess/Dejuan Blair/Matt Bonner
Tim Duncan/Theo Ratliff

What do you guys think of the Spurs roster..?

Overated, Duncan isn't the same player he once was, Ginobili is old and they have a bunch of guys who were castoffs from other teams like Mcdyes and Jefferson. The Suns roster is way better, the only thing the Spurs have over the Suns is the better PG but the Suns win on every other position.

Bogans is not a very good player, not sure how many minutes he'll even get in San Antonio. Probably more of an insurance for Ginobli move.

Their roster is pretty solid, Richard Jefferson will work quite nicely at the 3 spot for them. I don't look at that roster and see anything way to special, though.

LOL @ Suns win on every position but PG...more like we pretty much lose everywhere but PF and PG...and if you switch TD and McDyess that's even questionable.

Parker, Ginobili and Jefferson in their backcourt does not give me warm -fuzzies. I think they will be okay at the begining of the year, but in typical Spurs fashion they will hit their stride in February and I fully expect them to have a win-streak of at least 10 games in the 2nd half of the year. Parker penetrating, Ginobili catching and shooting, while Jefferson runs the wing, all while Dice and Timmy are there to clean-up any miss. We will have our work cut out for us. We will have a hard time matching up defensively with them again.

DeJuan Blair falling that low was criminal...I think he's going to be a fantastic contributer.

AND they got De Colo and McClinton....

They're my pick for the title.

SAS is going to be a defensive juggernaut this season. No one will score on them.

They may not look as intimidating as the Lakers or Magic or Celtics etc etc, but they have a proven system and a proven coach. Even without Duncan and Gino they could still take us to 6-7 in a playoff series.

They are my pick for the title as well since I don't want the Lakers to win and I don't think the Blazers are ready yet.

You all are picking the Spurs for which title? Western Conference I could see, if they were somehow able to stop the Lakers. But Spurs for the title this year? That's a bit of a stretch. IF everyone can stay healthy they could be strong but I don't see how Lakers getting Artest is not more team-changing than the Spurs getting Jefferson and their other pieces since last year...and the Lakers were already worlds better last year.

I think the Celtics (KG back healthy, Sheed/M.Daniels added on) or Orlando Magic (Vince/Bass/Barnes added to a finalist team) will win this year, but SanAN will be a dangerous title contender. Them or the Nugz could take out the Lakers for the western conf title.

Bogans is a solid defender that can knock down the trey, wanted us to get him cheap a la Barnes, too bad. Don't see him getting much playtime until Manu goes down tho, they're quite stacked on the wings now.

If DeJuan Blair outplays Dragic...ouch.

De Colo will play in the Spanish league for at least 1 year before going to San Antonio.

I reckon this is the best roster the Spurs have assembled in years.

that is true but imo its been a while since they've been on top of the league. in 2007 they were not that good bc TD was not that good. too bad the suns couldnt squeak past them. too bad nash couldnt sneak past robert horry. too bad, too bad...

He'd (Bogans) have no PT ....

Our back court is pretty much set with 30+ minutes to Nash, 30 to Barbs, 18 to Dragic and 18 to JRich (with him getting 12-18 at SF)

We won't add anyone UNLESS of injury. Boo f-n hoo. Can't go to every party.

The Spur(t)s look formidable, if Father Time ignores them.

lol nobody should freak out about Bogans.

Until J-Rich inevitably fails to rotate and Bogans hits the game-winner against us. At that point, commence freaking out.

It wasn't really a freakout thing. I was just trying to say the Spurs made a complete roster change without dropping their big three.
