How to watch all 82 games this season.

Post#1 » by WallyWorld » Mon Sep 21, 2009 7:02 pm

The league pass idea has been a common question, but since I live 4 blocks from Target Center, I am pretty sure that is in the blackout zone :).

So I ask this:

1. Are opposing team broadcasts ever on League Pass for the non-televised games? By ordering league pass, is there a good chance I will see more than 55 Wolves games on TV?
2. How does one stream the games that are not on TV via other links like Justin.tv? Are they online as well?

Discuss. How can we ensure we get to see more than 55 games? Its brutal, really

1. First we have to see which of our games aren't televised and if they are home or away games. Second, we see which team we are playing against and if it is the likes of NO,MEM,IND,CHA[insert team with low attendance] we will most likely not be shown on their broadcast either unless they get all 82 games televised.

2. From my understanding, Streaming sites like Justin.tv has users streaming games from their television to the computer, so they are basically streaming what they see on league pass.

I have another question...

Does anyone know whether I can see full Timberwolves games of the next season somewhere in the internet - not live? I can't watch the majority of the games because they are in the middle of the night here in germany and I can't afford to watch them during working days.

Me and my friends will all put money and see ALL the games on League Pass. We did the same thing last season and it worked. We put like 3-4 dollars each. My advice is for you guys in the US to do the same. Of course it's available for any country, just find a group of people in your country willing to do this. Anybody can watch if they have the password, it doesn't affect the streaming. Just that you have to have a good computer and good connection to the internet. @Foye, all the games from the previous days are available.

Thats good stuff, but the question is the absurd blackout restrictions. In no way shape or form does it makes sense to be blacked out of away games on league pass. However, do you pick up the away games despite this? AND....how many games do you get to see no league pass in general? Pretty much any game that is televised?

And I am refferring to the Cable version. I could also hook the computer into my TV if that is a better option.

Wait, so in theory, we all here could chip in like 2 bucks and see 90% of the wolves games? Well all games basically?

Comcast is here in the Keys, They offer the pass and all games are televised. I did not have it last year, Games played on the west coast kill me. Why dosent Stern place Timberwolves and Bulls in the same division?

I'm pretty sure you can watch ALL of the games. Home or away, televised or not, Wolves or any other team ... and you can watch them the next day too.

Goin' to bed now, will get more information tomorrow and tell you all about it ...

Wait so more than one person can watch a game online (at the same time on different computers) with 1 league pass username?

According to the NBA rules, NBA League Pass is only blacked out to games where you can already see them on local TV. There may be a handful of games where neither the Wolves or their opponent will broadcast the game that you won't be able to see, but most of them should be available on league pass.

Here is the link for directv rules on the issue.

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=1000009

I live outstate Minnesota, and had some trouble with channel 45 broadcast games last year. I don't get channel 45, but for some reason there were a couple of games that directv figured I was in the local broadcast range for channel 45 and accidently blacked me out of the game. Nothing like sitting on hold with directv for an hour to see an all important Wolves-Warriors tilt. I'm never going to see that hour again. I wasn't blacked out on the internet version of these ch 45 games, but wanted to make sure directv didn't make a habbit of incorrectly blacking me out of games.

Well if this works lets set something up.The benefit wouldn't be just wolves games but a;; NBA games anytime. This would be the best sports watching loophole of all time, ALL TIME!

I know back in the day when they did their free week league pass thing it worked I didn't think it would work once it was up though...

It IS possible, last year my problem was not having a decent computer so I couldn't see anything, i had to rely on "justin" just like most of the people. But when I happened to be around a nice PC, it worked just fine, for me and all the other guys who i was sharing the password with. Every season they start with a free period, so you can try and see if it works fine on your PC. If it does, I don;t see why you shouldn't get a password. Life is tough for us, Wolves fans, so a few bucks shouldn't stop us from watching the magnificent show these young pups will put up this year :D :o

I'd be down too, I only get to watch 40 games, barring I don't have plans/job/whatever in the way!

I live in Australia and I've only met a few people ever who are into NBA. Out of my friends I'm the only person who follows it closely so shared league pass is out of the question.

Guess I'll just have to try justin or some other streaming site which murders my downloads limit.

but I think if we all would put some money together I'm sure we'd need at least two LP accesses as I think there's a difference between USA and the rest of the world. or am I wrong?

I don't know about any differences, all I can tell you is that here in Romania we used the same LP account.
