OT - Madden league(PS3): SIMMED TO WEEK 6

I'm not available this weekend. Please give me your input on draft date/time and e-mail addy for league notes.

Tentative draft date/time is Monday, Sept 28 @ 11:15 PM.

IT'S GOING TO BE A FANTASY DRAFT, SO YOUR TEAM DOESN'T REALLY MATTER.

DRAFT DATE IS TBA UNTIL THE LEAGUE FILLS TO AT LEAST 8.

PLEASE FILL THESE TEAMS FIRST:
AFC SOUTH:
Texans: GrendonJennings
Colts: MikeIsGood
Titans: future308
Jaguars: jimmybones
NFC West:
Cards: Flames24Rulz
49ers: DrugBust
Seahawks: showtimesam
Rams

After those are full, we will fill in:
NFC North/AFC East

You may pick 2 options in the poll. Yes/no to the fantasy draft and if you would only play with 8+ or 16+ user teams. As of now, I'm going to do a fantasy draft but if we get a lot of no response to that, it can be easily changed.

I think we have to fill out the NFL with CPU teams so try to recruit your friends but I think 8 is the minimum and 16 would be amazing (anything in between would be fine, but somewhat unbalanced with how many user/CPU teams we play). Obviously finding 32 would be cool.

We should all join the same divisions if possible.

I'll check up who all posted their names on the other Madden thread later but here is what I have.

Cool. Way to get the ball rolling on this. I voted for a fantasy draft. I don't necessarily care how many people we have in this league, but I voted 8.

Also, does anyone know how the scheduling works? If DB and I have a game, do we have to play it at 3PM on Tuesday as Madden asks or can we set a time. Also, probably unlikely, but can a team play week 2 before another plays week 1 to get ahead?

I totally, completely forgot about this. I started playing Mass Effect again in my free time. Haven't booted up Madden in awhile.

Fantasy and 8. I'd still prefer to play with as few outsiders as possible.

I think we should choose 2 divisions playing each other. So if you want Miami, it would be AFC East and NFC South.

I don't know about the schedule of play. If it is that way I'll probably end up with a lot of missed games. But I'm 99% sure that everyone has to finish a week before you continue to the next.

How often are we going to plan on games? Unfortunately my schedule has changed a bit, and I probably can't dedicate as much time to this as I could before.

I really want to be Arizona. I think the NFC West and AFC South would be two interesting divisions.

Does it really matter what two divisions we pick? We're fantasy drafting anyways, and I'm sure you can change your playbook after your draft to reflect wanting to be a passing offense, running offense, wildcat, etc. If GJ is already Miami in the AFC East, we mind as well just stick with it. My two cents.

Regardless, I'll join as soon as I can. I'm not home right now.

flamez is Arizona. Looks like it's AFC East/NFC West. Maybe we should have picked 2 divisions that play eachother, though in AFC/NFC. Oh well.

That just doesn't make any sense. No matter what two divisions we choose, they should play each other. If not, we're missing out on four user vs. user games.

I had already signed up for Buffalo in the AFC East with Miami. If I need to switch, someone let me know and I'll do it as soon as I can.

Long time reader and I would love to join. Id like to have as many teams as possible and would like a fantasy draft. Ill take the Patriots if were doing NFC west and AFC east. Ill join the league tonight when I get home from work at 11 pm I also have a headset so we can talk while playing.

What I'm saying is the NFC North plays AFC North this year for example. I know that AFC East/NFC West don't play this year. I can restart the league and we can plan accordingly. I honestly just picked Miami out of a hat.

No, I understand what you're saying. And I agree with you, we're on the same page - we should have two divisions that play each other. It doesn't make any sense to go with the AFC East and NFC West, though, so I don't know why flamez took Arizona and that's what I was saying just doesn't make sense, and it doesn't make sense to stick with that.

I'm not trying to be a dick to anyone, but since you took the initiative to finally start the league and took with Miami, I think it would just make the most sense if others fell in line and took a team from one of the AFC East/NFC South. We're fantasy drafting so I really don't see what it matters. Again, my two cents. If it gets restarted, someone just tell me what team to be. I really don't care - I just think we should play each other as much as possible.

Let me know if your restarting the league and what the password and leauge name is. I also dont really care what team I am if we are doing fantasy draft but If we are doing AFC east and NFC south id still like to be the patriots or the saints.
