Bobcats Sign Flip Murray

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:54 am

This is insane now. LB and MJ's head should be called for on a stick.
They can't sign Shard because of a crowded backcourt yet Murray a smaller sg they want?
LB is to old lazy and cranky to deal with young players so he prefers vets. Guess what it's the Cats not the Spurs.
FO needs to sign Shard and then resign for waiting so long to realize it.
SO BAD!

1) His name is Rashad, not Rashard
2) Even if his name WAS Rashard, you shouldn't confuse him with Lewis
3) You are absolutely right, Flip Murray sucks and we should not sign him.

I'll take him over McCants any day of the week.

I saw a lot of Hawks games last year, and Murray is a great scoring threat off the bench, much better than McCants IMO.

Rich's wet dream!

He was wanting him for like the first 3 summers but we never had interest.

I'd be down with Flip. He always seems to get hot against us, so that should bump our win total a couple of slots. Also he has better handles than McCants, so I can see our interest.

Doubt we can beat out Denver tho. There'd be a lot of players ahead of him in our rotation (at least initially).

i'm cool with adding either mccants or murray (for dirt cheap). we havent had that "microwave" type guard on our bench since we cut eddie house.

Nuggets just got James White, he's sort of a guard. Maybe they don't want Flip anymore

I'll take a McCants/Henderson duo for future years. I suspect Bell won't be a Bobcat during the 2010-2011 season.
Humble yourself.

Haha, that boat has sailed. I no longer have interest in "Flip" Murray. It figures, they're 3 years too late.

I hope Raja signs on for 6 more years and then becomes the owner of the Bobcats just to piss you off.

How did I know you were going to reply to my post?

Raja re-signing here won't piss me off, though. Actually, it would make me very happy.

Sign Murray. Not McCants.

Signing Rashad does two things:

1) Suggests Bobcats can't get over their UNC lovefest
2) -and- does nothing to improve the team.

Rashad is borderline terrible (read: Adam Morrison). We might as well sign Julius Hodge if we're going to sign washed up all-ACC players. At least that way we could actually, you know, expand the fan base -- and, no, I'm not serious about signing Julius Hodge. **** that guy.

Don't exaggerate, he is not as bad as Morrison, and clearly has NBA skills.

Would he make us any better? Maybe, depends on how good Henderson is and thus whether he would play over Hendo or not. I don't have any particular urge to get him.

I don't really think it's clear that Murray is better than McCants... they're both below-average SGs. Neither one can make much if any difference to our team next year.

I still think it's crazy people say we have this "lovefest" with UNC players. We currently have 1 (one) UNC player on our team, and he didn't sign until today!
