We're doing roto. Head to head is where you match up against a specific other player each week, and your scores for the week are based on which categories you beat that person in. Roto is where all season long your numbers in each category are aggregated, so if your players have the most steals total all season you get the highest ranking in steals. This happens for every stat and whoever has the highest total ranking wins.

Shuttlesworth I'm waiting on BringinDaRuckus as he is gonna get everything started..I'm just getting the players list all ready. I would imagine we will start this week.

So do we have a final list of the players that will be playing? If so we can go ahead and start dividing up into two leagues and create two seperate threads for each league and draft.

Miklo, if you can , I would love to have you take on League A and the draft process.

I will handle League B. Also, we need to check to make sure each league has the same number of players. Gotta be fair and balanced as much as possible.

Lets get the final list and Miklo, if you can make sure the list on Page 1 is final and accurate we can use it as means to divide the leagues.

Also, I checked on Yahoo and we can go ahead and sign up the leagues now, which is awesome. Miklo, the draft order is tricky and I can explain in an email how I did last year. The draft order last year did not mach up with the order here on the boards... just have to pay attention to who selects who and ignore the draft position yahoo offered. Which is why I think using peoples screen names on here as their team name is the best way to go.... you can change the name after the draft.

Page 1 has the complete list. 27 people. I'm fine doing in either league, probably makes sense for us to be in whichever league we run and I'm up for whatever.

Good call about using our straight up RGM names at first, then whoever wants to change it can after the draft. My email address is mikelloeser @ aol, so I'll await further instruction so we can split up the leagues, set draft order, etc.

You can alter the draft order manually as a commish, so you shouldn't have the same issue you had last year. It is in your commish tools.

Good ideas NF33IH...it looks like we will be adding 2 or 3 people to the A league, and I agree that date joined is probably the best criteria. I'll wait to see what BDR thinks, though.

EDIT: Without Dave Ang, we have 26. I think since BDR and myself are each running one draft, one of us will join the B league. This means we would add 2 people to the A league.

Yeah I think it's a good idea to be in the leagues we are in charge of. I will be more than happy to join League B. And we should add the 2 players that have the been with RealGM the longest.

Miklo, I will send you an email today (at work for a good portion of it but I'll sneak it in). The email will be the final lists. What do you think about league names? League A and League B are generic. I like the idea of "Legacy" for A and we need something for B.

Also, we need to talk about passwords and details. I am going to go ahead and fire an email to you now so that you have my email.

Sounds like we are ready to get the ball rolling. Miklo will be finalizing the list for each league. I will be sliding over to League B.... BurningHeart and Shuttlesworth will be "upgraded" to League A based on how long they have been with RealGM.

Ok fellas, couple more things I need input on....

Are we allowing the trading of Draft picks this year? We did it last year (I think that is what tripped me up, not the actual draft order, hahaha).

And finally, we have 13 players in each league..... 3 less than last year.... so shall we add a position of two? Last year we did PG / SG / SF / PF / C / UTL / UTL / BN / BN / BN

Add a G and a F postion? Or just a G/F? Another Utl? Let Miklo and I know.

I've updated the first page to show who will be in each league. What we will do is have everyone e-mail the person who's running your draft to get the name and password for the Yahoo league. Remember, you need to have/create a Yahoo e-mail address.

For those in the Premier League, e-mail me for the league info. My e-mail address is mikelloeser @ aol.com. I won't respond until I have the league set up, so don't worry if there's a delay.

BDR and I will be determining the draft orders today using a random number generator, so keep your fingers crossed!

BDR, post your e-mail address - I didn't want to, since I didn't know if that's the address you want to give out.

I will be in charge of the Development League. The thread for the league will be posted later this afternoon. I will need teams in the league to email me for the password.

Drafts will begin at the same time for both leagues. It will be a 12 hours window for picks. If no pick is selected, you will be assigned the best available player according to Yahoo. If the draft lags later on, we might cut the draft window down from 12 hours.

Postions are as follows:

PG / SG / G / SF / PF / F / C / UTL / UTL / BN / BN / BN

And remember, these leagues are Roto leagues, not head-to-head.

Also, we should probably say that when you have 2 consecutive picks, you only get 12 hours between the 2 instead of 24 hours.
