What do you think about Cardinal(exp), Wilkins(exp), Rights to Rubio and Charlotte's 1st to Sac Town for Kevin Martin. It checks out in the trade checker, we lose some 2010 money and Rubio but get a young scoring wing.

Re: Trade with Kings
I'm not as big a Kevin Martin fan as Kings fans, but I'd do that deal for the Wolves. He's not a perfect fit, but Martin can score, and he'd help this team.
I think the Kings would have to say "no," though. They passed on Rubio at #4 to take Tyreke Evans, and the risk that Rubio stays over there is probably greater now than on draft day.

Re: Trade with Kings
i bet we could get Rip Hamilton with just Cardinal/Wilkins and the pick without having to give Rubio. And Hamilton would be a better fit i think. I'd have to pass on Martin just because thats a lot to give up for a not a great team fit.

Re: Trade with Kings
I'll pass on the Martin trade, I'm not much of a fan of him either; and I'd rather wait until free agency and see who we can get then.
As for RIP, he's too old, if he was 4 years younger I would say yes but he's in his 30's so by the time our young guys are ready to compete for a title, he will be mid 30's which doesn't help

i wasn't saying we should, just that hamilton would be a cheaper option for a better fit

Re: Trade with Kings
If Flynn looks like a stud and that deal is offered, I'd do it in a second. Next to a good PG, a dominant post scorer like Al and a break starter like Love I could see Martin dropping 26+ ppg per game easily. Draft the best available athletic shooter/finisher/defender at the 3 (Paul George?) and you'd have a really really good team. Very reminiscent of the early 2000's Kings in that they could be an absolute offensive powerhouse. Martin is also young enough to grow with the team and is on a very fair deal.
I'd be concerned about his injuries, though.

Re: Trade with Kings
I think SAC would be offended by this trade offer. Martin is their guy. Though I think they overvalue him and I am not a huge fan, SAC would demand a greater return in value for him. Expirings and two prospects, allbeit one very good prospect (though they passed on him) I don't believe would equate value in their eyes.
Just my opinion though.

I'd do this in a heart beat, but no chance the Kings do. Martin is their franchise guy as of right now.

Re: Trade with Kings
Not unless Martin were to demand a trade, and they could probably do better even then.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.
