Interesting he picked that question out of the 5 other ones I asked

Anyway this part stood out...

The possiblity of letting Amare walk and getting back that $17.7M to spend elsewhere is real.

That would be crazy...

Not too crazy....if Amare doesn't step up and then still demanded a max contract then I can see the brain trust deciding to throw the max at one of the other 2010 FAs instead.

What would happen if they let Amare walk and couldn't sign anyone? Big name free agent I mean

Well thing about it is Amare was on with Mcabe this morning and he asked Amare about the whole contract situation and Amare's response was interesting, but you know what, I don't want to say it wrong so give me a minute and I will paste his response here..........

I would prepare for it now, so it wont hurt as much when it happens. With Kerr and Sarver at the wheel I can see us letting go of Amare and only getting 2-3 fillers with the money.

Fillers???? We talking bout fillers???? Not an All-Star, but fillers????? You are wayyyyyyy off. We would be trading Amare for expirings just like the Shaq deal. Amare for nothing. That is how it will happen. Then it will be 2 years of

Nash/JRICH/Hill/Frye/Lopez.

The current team without Amare would be terrible. it's a pretty high risk letting him go to free agency and hoping we can land someone in free agency 2010. There are so many teams that can offer people like Lebron & DWade tons of money. I still say that it would be so sick if we could somehow deal JRich for expirings, let Amare walk, and then sign DWade to a max deal. Letting Amare walk would be easy for the Suns, but dealing JRich, there lies the complication.

I'm still ticked we didn't do Wallace for Chandler

Nash
Richardson
Hill
Amare
Chandler

what the hell...seriously...

In fact, we could have gotten fracking Okafor in a three way trade!

Our FO is so terrible.

If the Suns are trading Amare they are gonna slide J-Rich into the trade offer too. Or at least they should...
Or we can just trade J-Rich to the T-Wolves for two expirings like Brian Cardinal and Antonio Daniels. That franchise isn't gonna hit any big name free agents out there so this would be their best chance at picking up a two-guard.
This is, of course, if the Suns are struggling this season.

Crazy? Maybe. Depends who might be available for cheaper and how well Frye produces. It won't be no cake walk for Amare to find a team willing to shell out max money to him.

I love the fan favorite question! Apparently you must only be able to vote once, or Maryvale would have change those stats.

If the Suns trainers think TC is damaged goods then he's damaged goods
