Alternate Jersey

In all the talk of teams unveiling new jerseys, I found this in reference to the Houston unveiling.

"the league has cracked down on black jerseys and would not approve a Rockets request for one.'

Does this mean theres a greater chance of a green alternate? Especially since Dallas got rid of theirs...

It would be better if the alternate jersey was the result of someone going back in time to 1989 and deciding that the team mascot should be a Shark-a-phant (yes, a shark riding an elephant, eating and trampling everything in its path).

Whats so wrong with black jersey's? Do they look TOO awesome? I'm hoping for a green and black one like the one that was photoshopped and shown in here everytime there is a new jersey thread. ha, New Jersey thread.

Wow, NBA. Black looks good on everybody. What's the deal? If we can't have black then we better get a cool ass green then.

I think with the Mavs eliminating their green jerseys, it is a lock that the Wolves will have a green one. Hopefully a more retro looking jersey.

I can kind of see where the NBA is coming from. It seems like every team was getting a black alternate and it was losing its punch. Why would the Rockets want a black altenate anyway? It has nothing to do with their team colors or logo or history or anything.

Anyway, a green alternate for the Wolves would be cool.

sounds pretty racist if you ask me, basically this is more "the NBA is getting too black" rhetoric and it sickens me

I want solid black jerseys with only "Timberwolves" across the stomach in gold gothic letters ala Tupac's "Thug Life" tattoo. You can not tell me that wouldn't be the best selling jersey of all time. Seriously, best selling jersey of all time, wouldn't even matter what player name was on it. We could have a player named Fred Faggariffic and people would buy that jersey.

I know people are sweating him pretty hardcore but another euro pg with an insane buyout?! If we were to play them all together I would do Love for Faggariffic...

I can recall someone posting a photoshopped black alternate Rockets jersey on the General Board and it looked really awesome.

Rockets have an ok jersey, but I like the early Olaujuwon era one better. The new Rockets era has that same weird font as Monster Energy drinks. Needs to be more future/robot-ey

I already have jerseys that say "Gay" "Love" "Smiley" "Mayo" and "Boogaard" how much worse is this going to get before we get guys named Maverick or Bonecutter or something cool.

^That looks cool but I hope the alternate jersey is different than the regular others. A green version of the previous jersey the Wolves wore would be interesting. Really interesting if they had the font from the original jerseys for the lettering with the same jagged numbers.

that plaid jersey would go great with a kilt

otherwise, I pretty much hate the green jersey. I like the white ok, the black a lot, and the blue. None of them really remind me of a Timberwolf though.
