Sweet!

I'd actually been looking to get this guy a year or so ago. There was a trade thread on him for a while. Don't remember what I thought could be a fair offer, but safe to say, we got him cheaper than that.

Nice backup player, no cost, non-guaranteed contract, and better than James White.
Morey strikes again!

This guy is willing to sign for a non-guaranteed contract? I remember McCants always seem to torch us whenever we play the Wolves. What happened, did he get hit by a truck in the last few years?

I think he's been injured, and he didn't play so well in Sacramento.

During the mentioned thread (which a quick search through my bookmarks didn't find, though I did find a "Why the hell did we hire Morey, again?" thread that's since expired), Minnesota posters claimed that while he is talented, he tends to overuse the ball or something.

but really good training camp guy. god daam the 27th is closer then ever, dorsey gonna own pops bang men w/ 4 block shot. andersen wont miss a 3pt shot, and chase isgonna dunk on everyone but dorsey. then comes tmac at the last day, "hi guys, sry im late, but u no, im injured and all that" .

rashad is good enough to be more than a trainng camp player. maybe taylor goes to the dleague and mccants takes his place? or trade cook and we can have mccants, either way i hope he's on the team.

Good luck with Shaddy he is a shoot first then shoot second kind of player... Don't get too hyped over this signing and there is a reason he signed a non guaranteed contract. He has the athleticism to be a really good player but the void between his ears will always hold him back.. He had microfracture surgery three years ago otherwise he has not been hurt.

On a team with the right leadership and locker room stability he could be good. Are the Rockets the right fit? I don't know, but he never even had a fighting chance in Minnesota or Sacramento.

so we sign a short shooting guard who looks to score all the time and chucks(and misses) way too many shots. at least hes on a nonguaranteed contract

He had every chance in Minny after the KG trade but he blew it by being too cocky and selfish...
