Bobcats would seem to have interest for french swingman Sy

Post#1 » by Julio » Thu Sep 24, 2009 1:00 pm

Hey guys, just wanted to share that with you.

It was in the main sports newspaper of France, but it's only a rumor.
Anyways, seems like Amara Sy, last year French League Champion with ASVEL Lyon, will have an invitation for the Bobcat training camp, due to his strong defensive presence.

Here is the article in French, I mainly translated it.

http://www.lequipe.fr/Basket/breves2009/20090924_075630_amara-sy-vers-les-bobcats.html

I will post here if I have new info for you guys.

Short clip of French star, Amara Sy. Hopefully he will catch on to the NBA because he is a major talent, think Lamar Odom.

He doesn't look like anything special from the clip. I still think Derrick Brown wins the backup 3 job.

good thing LB didnt coach the icelandic national team. who know what kind of players we'd be rumored to bring into camp.

"larry really likes 6'3" power forward ingmar dunksalotsson, who lead iceland with 8 pts in their recent defeat to denmark."

PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS!!

Why the he** do we continue looking at "swingmen"??? Are we going to play small ball all the time??

Jeez, there's no talk of bringing in any big 4 to compete, even in camp? What the he** is going on with LB?? Still sipping french wine and planning retirement?

 GET IN THE GAME WITH WHAT WE NEED!!!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Bass, you do realize that these guys are just camp tryouts who will probably not make the roster. We risk absolutely nothing, if they can´t play we just cut them, who cares.

LB is just doing the French team some favors by getting them some run versus some stronger competition than they would probably normally face at their camps. And I think he's bringing in guys that are strong defenders hoping its contagious for our guys and try to keep them focused..

dont underrate ingmar dunksalotsson. iceland may have a dying economy, but soaking in volcanic hot springs does wonders for the knees. i hear ingmar has a 90cm vertical leap. long live the metric system.

no recent news on florent? is he coming to camp? you'd think we'd have a camp roster out by now.

We didn't have a team for SL, maybe BJ's deciding to skip training camp as well...

Ha, I thought you meant by the white flag that we should throw in the towel. Then again, when you're looking at players' like this, you probably should.

Yeah but if you were the GM the flag would have already been raised around here with your weird love for bad basketball players. Hello, Isiah is that you ? Hello??

Emeka Okafor and Jason Richardson > Tyson Chandler and Raja Bell

Why in the blue hell you can't see that is mind-boggling.

Awww come on Isiah, you're just upset LB pretty much cleaned out your locker room since he became head coach of the Cats. Where were we heading with the un-coachable Mr Fumbles and the no-defense playing bad handles J-Rich? Huh? Certainly not the playoffs!!

Okafor and J-Rich = OVERRATED.

Yeah you stink too, Matt Carroll. That clown missed sooooooooo many shots when we needed a clutch basket. (sorry just felt like taking a shot at the highest paid D-League player in the NBA)

Your logic is so flawed, it's not even funny anymore.
