Anyone getting 2k10? I'm kind of torn on whether I should or not... The My Player mode seems pretty neat, but other than that in-game improvements seem to be few and far between.

I am a converted 2k10 fan. I dont think I could go back to NBA Live.

I don't think I could go back to Live either I switched after Live '06... So I'm really just contemplating riding out 2k9 for another year or buying 2k10...

Someone on the board convinced me to get 2k. Since then I prefer the gameplay. I have 09 might wait before buying because I am thinking of getting a PS3.

I dont know, jac. I was a die hard Live fan. I decided to check an old copy of 2K. The game play is totally different. Granted Live has some nice features but the game play in 2K IMO is better then some cool features.

I actually think the game play of Live was great the last 2 years. I wanted to break my PS2 back in the day when Live 04 came out because I loved 02 and 03. However, to me 2K is tougher and I enjoy it more. I feel the shooting of 2K needs to be improved, but the game feels like an ACTUAL basketball game as opposed to the run and gun of NBA Live. Either way, it's really personal opinion. I'm probably going buy whichever one has a better online franchise mode so I can play with a few friends.

Its gotten better, I just wasnt thrilled the in play views that are available over the years, but agree with what you said above w/ 04...my biggest gripe is shooting...release point was always key for Live, for a long time, now its changed, it very player specific and I do like it...its more realistic....and its gotten better for the most part...but if you're saying its a downfall for 2k, then thats a big drawback...

All I hear the last couple of years is that 2k is better...still havent played it, ever...gonna rent both this year before I buy...

What type of shooting differences are there between Live and 2k?
