Position eligiblity question.

Post#1 » by Jay240 » Fri Sep 25, 2009 8:36 pm

Ok I need a center for my yahoo fantasy team. And another player in my league is offering centers for trade. He has Bosh who is listed at (PF, C) so I offered a trade proposal.

Now Bosh doesn't usually play C. I guess I'm concerned that Yahoo might change his eligibility to PF only and leave me with a hole at C. Does anyone know if this can happen, and if it can what are the conditions for this to happen?

And I guess some might be wondering about the trade. I offered Baron Davis. Opinions welcome but don't get the thread derailed.

Correct -- he won't lose eligibility.

Did you offer Baron Davis for Chris Bosh straight up? Because that almost certainly won't be accepted unless you play under some strange settings that change players' values big time.

Yeah I offered Baron for Bosh 1-for-1. I know I'm dreaming to think he might go for it, but I might throw Mike Miller in too.

You might? lol

You'll need to throw in Mike Miller, give Baron, as well as another 4th rounder to give you even a chance of getting Bosh.

Just because he says he wants to trade a centre doesn't mean he'll give him away for free.

Oh, and yes, once a player is assigned eligibility, they can't lose it.

Well he didn't go for it lol. But he said he'd part with Bosh for Calderon and Salmons. Now I'm not going for that. Oh well I guess the topic can be closed I got my answer about eligibilty.

Bosh for Calderon and Salmons? From a pure value stand point, that is a good deal for you. Unless you have built your entire team around Jose I would do that trade.
