If he can get to the line a lot, great.

But 10 shots, high-quality shots, comfortable shot. That's the max.

If he sticks to this, he will improve his percentages, and improve our team play.

Let somebody else take all the "2 seconds left on the shot shock / end of quarter heaves" because it ain't working out well for Felton when he does it.

I'd be much happier with a 12/8/4 stat line or 12/8.5/4.5 (even better, some non-shots turn into assists).

Besides DJ, who else can create there own shot with time running out? Somebody has to shoot it. Crash's jumpshot was non existant last season and Raja dosen't have a quick enough first step to create his own shot. Although Raymond misses more than he makes in these situations he still shouldn't be looked downed upon for taking the shot instead of getting shot clock violations.

If its just an end of quarter quick shot just let Vlad take it. He's a way better shooter than Felton and it's not like you can really contest a 6'10 guy's shot on the perimeter very easily

End-of-quarter shots are usually around halfcourt ... Vlad won't risk it.
Humble yourself.

I'd look for Felton to raise his FG % this year. That floater should contribute to it, but he also needs to take smarter shots and concentrate when going to the rim (i.e. slow down while in stride to the hoop just a notch).

As for DJ, I wish the guy was 6'4" or something because we'd have one hell of a SG - he's a great shooter from everywhere on the floor it seems. Let's see what his PG skills look like this year because if Felton leaves we need him to be able to run the team just as well.

It's a damn shame Brandon Roy didn't grow up on the East coast, then we wouldn't have had the "pleasure" of watching Morrison. If we had Roy, our team (and possibly coach) would be completely different today. We've been sooo unlucky with where we've picked in the draft and with Roy not wanting to play here.

Source: Felton Turned Down Long-Term Deal

Bobcats point guard Raymond Felton turned down a long-term contract offer from the team, sources told Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

The deal reportedly would have paid Felton roughly $7 million annually.

Unless Felton sees a huge improvement in his play this season, it appears unlikely that another team would offer him more than that next summer.
