I think this just says that we can't have enough scorers and it just in case Manu gets hurt.

I'm not sure Bogans is a scorer. He doesn't have a rep for it. honestly, I wish we signed a scorer off the bench. Perhaps McCants or whoever is available. Before Manu went down last year, I remember Pop saying that Manu's days as a 6th men is over and that he thinks our team is best when the big 3 plays together. If that happens, then there is a need for sparkplug scorer off the bench.

Plus, on the topic of having enough scorers, I don't really think we added much offensive firepower this year. Well, we added just one offensive fire power in Richard Jefferson. McDyess' offense is basically a faceup jumper nowadays. He'll play better defense than Bonner, but offensively, Bonner was damn accurate last year and Dice won't be that much better. Dice is way past his prime and no longer able to just get the ball and go ISO on someone. Blair won't provide much offense either other than put backs.

we added offense, but don't mistake us for being an offensive juggernut. Even thou Parker expressed concerns about not having scorers, I think our defense really really sucked last year. That's the area I'm hoping we'll really improve on. Not our offense.

More firing power if needed.
