He could be much better but has a poor work ethic and poor attitude

He doesn't push himself to become better

well hes not better than aaron brooks or kyle lowry.. So unless two of them are in foul trouble, or adelman wants to mix up his guards, he wont see much playing time.

This is one of those moves where if it works out (Von Wafer-type production) then it will just add to the Legend of the Morey.

If it doesn't work out - no risk involved.

Morey is basically doing what he did last year. Recall how the roster wasn't finalized until the last minute, with high competition and several different seemingly good options available. If McCants seems capable of playing without causing team problems, we can keep him. If we keep him and it turn out he can't, I think we can cut him without issue by the trade deadline.

He's definitely a SG. He may be a tad on the undersized side, but a SG none the less.

good, more time for Taylor and Budinger to develop
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Feign:

Once McCants gets healthy (groin pull) the Rockets will invite him back.
