Great win. I'd much rather face Minnesota in the playoffs then the Tigers.

So.. you're a Yanks fan, huh? Now I officially hate you. Awww.... Yanks are so.. lame: douche owner's son who tries to buy chips and is a cocky sonabitch, the most bandwagon fans, and a team that screwed over their stadium's neighborhood. It's going to be funny to see Yank fans get tight, once they lose in the 1st round(again).

Close but no cigar, I'm actually not a fan of any team. I just root for the underdogs or the Mets in 06(man they would've took it, if only el duqe wasn't injured) when it comes chip time. With that said, here's to CC and AJ imploding.

Well, if you listened to any of the baseball analysts when the season started the Yankees WERE the underdogs. They had the Yankees finishing THIRD in the division.

PS- Mets were favorites in 2006 so, yeah, "close but no cigar"

You hate the Yankees because they have a lot of bandwagon fans?? Well I for one think its ironic considering you most likely hate the yanks because its popular to do so. GTFO..

losing the duke hurt, but was expected i mean he is a walking injury.. the taxi cab is what cost the mets the 06 ws if anything, the bullpen was off the charts good prior to dirty duaner separating his shoulder and nady was a perfect fit

id absolutely dread playing the tigers in a short series.. their sp is scary in a 5 game set

btw vinny kinda lame saying the mets suck, i mean they were the NL favorite to reach the WS and many other sources' favorite to win it all this year yet they had probably the most injury plagued season in the history of modern sports.. no team that comprises of santana, wright, beltran, reyes, krod, etc sucks

sh*t happens, the core is young, the team has a bright future even if pessimistic losers like on metsrefugees forums think the team is shot forever

An incredible job by the Yanks after their horrid September. C.C., Mo and Tex led the way...

Actually the bandwagon part is a very small part of why I dislike them. The majority is how they treated Torre, the owner, and how they screwed over the South Bronx(lying to them about park space and in total screwing the whole neighborhood). That's why I dislike the team.

That and they really need to address their farm system, if they can't take care of that farm system... they should try to re-sign Pagan to have him on the bench.. in case one their hitters go down.

farm system is a wreck in terms of structure and management but its not as barren as people make it out to be.. and really, how many teams have produced a wright and reyes caliber duo in the past 10 years? not many

im not worried about the farm, they just cannot be cheap f**ks with beltran in his prime, santana in his prime, wright and reyes in/entering their prime, krod in his prime, etctec.. they need another legit starter, and they cannot start the season with murphy and pagan starting.. idk exactly who, but they need to upgrade at least 1 legit bat and 1 legit starter.. new stadium and the reasons i just said (along with coming off a catastrophic season), now is not the time to be cheap.. if they dont spend this offseason and bring in at least 2 legit guys like i said, the fans have every right not to buy tickets..

If the series goes 5 games we'll face him twice regaless if we pick the Longer series or not.

I'd rather face the twins, but I don't really care if we face the tigers. Their hitting sucks and we could be Verlander and Jackson. We're 3-1 this year when facing those 2.

Too bad I live in New York, and I'm a Jet/Knicks/Ranger fan also, so close, but no cigar. You like Lil Wayne, you have no right no talk.
