I was pulling for the Rockets those years once the LAL were out of it, just a dynamic team.

One of the best lines ever came out of that HOU run..., Rudy T, "Never underestimate the heart of a Champion!"

Bob Horry was a young uber athlete.

And Olajawan, for my life had the biggest superstar v superstar pawning matchup ever, schooling the Admiral shockingly.

Shame on me. For some reason i've had in mind that it was Riley who said that.
I really think Kobe is gearing up to be a top scorer. I think we are going to see ridiculous scoring this season from Kobe.

Kobe is going to be a more EFFICIENT scorer imo, but in terms of volume, I think it would stay at around 25 ppg. It won't be like the 06 season where he drops 40 almost every game.

Yah, even with Artest focusing on defense, There's still too much weapons (assuming Bynum contributes more and Sasha somehow gets back to knocking down threes). I'm wrong, y'all are right

When i said that, what i had in mind was ridiculous nights like 61+@MSG, 65@Portland, 60@dallas etc. but to say that he will lead the league in scoring, i don't think so

i still wouldn't trust him no matter how good he is during the season.. he'll manage to screw us in the playoffs
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

You gotta respect Kobe for his attitude and determination.

Why cant all the so called "NBA Superstars" that gets 10 millions a year do that? (Tmac, Carter, Melo........................)

Lakers need to sign him and bring him to camp to teach all who want to learn. One of the all time best. Kareem knows so much. Hakeem knows the rest. Wow would he be an asset.

If Kobe starts to do the dream shake and has a low post that rivals Hakeem this guy is taken basketball to a whole different level.

Kobe is like the Chang Sung of basketball... let him play you 1 on 1 and he has all your moves... ask Reggie Miller, Jordan & Duncan.

I can't wait to see a new dream fade away

He should've taken Bynum on this trip. I can only imagine if Bynum can pickup half of dreams game he would be unstopable for a big man against most centers today.

Hakeem and kobe are two of the best in the NBA in terms of footwork. Whatever new moves Kobe adds he gets better even at this stage of his career.

like hakeem said, his moves are more suited for wing players. big centers simply don't have the physical abilities of hakeem.

Lebron also wants to be more on the inside this season. I wonder how his post game will look like compared to KB24s

It's the soccer roots

Houston fan here (Beat LA!)
I don't care who the player is, when I hear about them getting a workout with Hakeem, it makes me smile... and I want them to improve. So I hope Kobe shows some new skills in the post faking defenders off and lightly shooting over them with ease.

BUT... Kobe wasn't learning the Dream Shake. Long story short, Kobe will average 4 blocks per game this season. Later this week he has a work out with Mutombo to properly learn the finger wag (i think Mutombo will stretch is index finger out another few inches).

Kobe will average 25pts, 11 reb, 5 ast, 2 stl, 3 blk next season after his workouts with Hakeem :D
