Wow Stromile kinda sounds like a broken man. Thanks for reminding him he went from a #2 pick to camp body for the sixers. Hope he impresses.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Stromile Swift will bring 2 things: 1)Compeitition, 2)Shotblocking. He's always been athletic, but head troubles and such kept him from being the player he could be.
Maybe a calm enviroment like Philadelphia could make him our Theo Ratliff.

Dionte christmas has a lot to work on to get his foot in the door. But in the interview he seem to know what he has to work on... I hope he gets a chance somewhere.

Philly a "calm" environment, don't think I ever heard that one before.

Dionte's raw but talented. Problem is/was that he played in the A-10 conference. So it'll take a few years to get accostumed to NBA-level talent. But in 1-2 years, he could seriously compete for a starters job here or elsewhere.

Thad young talking about his shooting sounds exciting. He also said that him lou, dre and jason smith went to mark price shooting camp at the beginning of the summer.

It's when Thad went mid last season that he got on that 20 PPG monster run.

Its redundant but if thad , dre and lou all improved their shooting we will be a much better team and the floor will be spread for elton to do work unlike last year.

Keep him away from Speights.
Speights has to be surrounded by guys like Brand who work at their games. Swift tried to get by on athletic ability.

Wait...I thought that Christmas could beat Willie Green out of our 8-9 man rotation...
What happened?

He can, he'll just be alot more effective in year 2/3 then year 1.
Still better then Green though, watch some Owls games. He got skill.

Don't forget that Swift, Christmas, Singletary and Brandon Bowman are competing for -- at most -- one spot. There's probably a 50-50 chance they only keep 13, which would mean none make it.

Re: Tom Moore 3.0
Asked if this is where he wants to be, Dalembert said, "Um, this is where I am right now. It’s not bad or miserable or anything like that — it’s where I am. Last year was a frustrating season. I was disappointed that I wasn’t on the floor long enough to help my team. I wasn’t put in a consistent situation to do what I do best – which is rebound, block shots and defend. It was frustrating for me."

Re: Tom Moore 3.0
Dalembert wasn't especially thrilled to see Ed Stefanski and Eddie Jordan say he could be the 'X' factor for the 2009-10 Sixers: "I’ve been hearing that for so many years. You can go out there and choose five of my games and see why I don’t produce – you cannot produce when you’re not on the floor. It’s tough to be the X factor of the team not knowing if you’re going to play 12 minutes, 17 minutes – it’s tough. All I wanted to do was be the best at what I do, which is rebounding and defense."

Re: Tom Moore 3.0
[Sam] said he worked on his jumpshot and his handles
I try not to pile on when it comes to complaining about Sam... but I'm convinced he thinks he is Chris Bosh. This goes back to before he was booted off the Olympic team. He just does not get that he can be a very good center if he focuses LESS on his jump shooting and handles. Same thing with passing. He should stick to simple, quick passes instead of trying to get too fancy.
Last year Sam had 47 ball handling TO's and 33 bad pas TO's and only 17 assists.
Compare that to Speights (not exactly a great passer) whose numbers were a more respectable 20/14/30.
Stats from 82games.

Re: Tom Moore 3.0
Dalembert said he understands that he's going to sit for a while when he gets two quick fouls, but ... "The difference is you go around the league and guys like Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace are averaging almost five fouls a game. If I do get two quick fouls, it’s OK to take the guy out. In the playoffs when we played (the Magic), Dwight Howard had two fouls and he started the second quarter. He started the third quarter. He made a difference with his presence. Each coach is different. They try to protect me, but in the long run they’re hurting the team. Me starting and not playing the second quarter and fourth quarter for 14 games in a row when you’re supposed to be the X factor, it’s tough to buy that."

That is what I want to here (although less complaining already.)
