Joe Johnson

Post#1 » by TheMan44 » Tue Sep 29, 2009 10:21 pm

Joe Johnson says he won't sign an extension and will play out the final year of his contract this season. He is a free agent in 2010.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

He's not coming back. We dont have the $$$ (UNLESS amare leaves) yet still I don't see Sarver signing him. He thrived in this system, but he wants to be first fiddle. This is still Nash's team.

but ya it'd be sick.

We can't sign every single player thats ever left our roster and potentially could come back nor would we want to. It's unrealistic. If there was a wiretap that Pat Burke wanted an NBA return I guarantee a thread would be made "Bring back the Irishman". JJ can ball, and i'd love him here but i just dont see it at all in the realm of possibilities.

Would love to have him back but as long as Sarver owns the team I don't see him comming back.

I am sure the Cavs will pick him up. Imagine Lebron and JJ together.

Hey!

Who every said I was thinking of Joe Johnson coming back to Phoenix? I simply said "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

At the time of my post, I was thinking about a pear pie. Why? Because I haven't seen too many pear pies out there. There are apple pies. Cherry pies. Blueberry pies, maybe. But never any pear pies. Why?

I'm messing around. No seriously, Joe in Phoenix would be nice. Amare + Joe + Steve with a bench of Clark + Barbs + Duds = Nice.

Joe and Lebron in NYC with D'Antoni... look out. Wilson Chandler at the 3, Lebron at the 4 in the D'Antoni system.. who cares who the other 2 starters are.

If a few years down the road D'Antoni is able to get his man Rubio, that would be an insane team.

Rubio
JJ
Chandler
Lebron

+1

There are so many trade proposals/signing proposals to bring back Joe Johnson, Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, Matrix, it's unreal. Sure the FO has made some crappy moves over the last couple years but that doesn't mean we can just all of a sudden reverse them. Joe Johnson followed the money and we don't have money, nor is he quite worth what he thinks he is. Trix was fed up here and couldn't coexist. Raja created drama in our locker room.

We have to move on....I know some people get off thinking about "oh, what if we had all of the good players we ever had over the last 5 years", but wouldn't any team? Unless you're Danny Ainge with Antoine Walker, you don't keep going back on your decisions to ship players out.

Trix couldn't coexist? News to me...

Raja created drama in our lockerroom because Porter was a douche.

dosnt matter who or what happened to all the palyers everyone wants to get back, it aint happening. None of them left on good terms, so you people are just asking for chemistry problems. They all have some type of bad feelings tward the org. that sent them out (the suns).

The second one I'll give you, although I still think Raja should have just kept his mouth shut. Doesn't matter much, I wouldn't give up way too much for Raja nowadays anyway.

Trix coexisting was a huge problem. He wasn't okay with his role on the team and basically had a problem with anyone who got touches before him. There were doubts about whether his beef with Amar'e was real, but there were things said that just showed that his ego was too big for the Suns' locker room. I loved him and he was such a beast, but I would not have welcomed him back to Phoenix with open arms at any point (unless of course they just undid the Shaq for Marion swap, cause let's face it the value there was terrible).
