I think he'll be a pretty good pro player, though I think he'll have a tough time taking the ROY from Blake Griffin.

Monta Ellis, when asked if the Warriors could have drafted another position: "They could have. But you know how the draft is. Y’all’ve been here as long as I have. Y’all know how they do it. You take the best player possible, as you see it. He’s a Warrior, we’re gonna bring him in, open arms to him, show him the ropes like they did me, see if we can put these pieces together."

Too bad he doesn't think they can put the pieces together.

Lol I would hate having Monte Ellis here for 5 years, when its uncertain how good he will be.
But here is my trade scenario.

Rockets Acquire-
Jason Richardson
Marcus Camby

Warriors Acquire-
Tracy McGrady
2nd Round Draft Pick (Cle)
2nd Round Draft Pick (Cha)

Clippers Acquire-
Monte Ellis
Taylor Griffin
Alando Tucker
1st Round Pick (Hou)

Suns Acquire-
Stephen Jackson
Baron Davis

This trade doesn't work in the Trade Machine, but if you factor in the Suns trade exception from Shaq then all is good.
Rockets get Richardson to replace T-Mac and Camby to replace Yao. Camby is also not a long-term commitment.
Warriors get T-Mac which basically released them from two horrible long-term contracts. And when your team performs as horrible as the Warriors have, then releasing several long-term for short term contracts is ideal. Plus, they get two second round picks, and the Warriors love them second round picks.
Clippers get Monte Ellis, which they can develop with Blake Griffin. Adding in Taylor Griffin is just for humor points. Tucker may get more minutes on this roster. This clears up who is starting at the Center spot by trading Camby. Also allowing DeAndre Jordan more playing time.
Finally, the Suns get Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson. Which makes SSOL happen with or without Nash in the lineup. Yes, the Suns get two long-term contracts, but when Nash and Hill retire in two season, BDiddy and Captain Jack can replace them. Plus how motivated would Baron Davis be, playing with his step-brother.

Nothing wrong with what Ellis said he was right. Curry reminds me of Adam Morrison, another guy who sort of had alot of hype. Both of them were volume scorers in college and those rarely translate in the NBA.

Sorry Qwigglez, but pass on that trade. I want Camby. SJax and BDiddy are both on unattractive long-term contracts. But I agree, I would rather keep JRich's two year contract than Ellis's 5, no matter how good Ellis would get.

MVF: Curry is basically a carbon copy of Ellis, that's why Ellis isn't happy. I see him as a good vlume scorer with a bit of passing but not much else.

No worries.
I dislike all the trades that were mentioned in this thread, I was just bored and wanted to make my own version.
I actually like our roster the way it is. A true center in the Suns system, simply doesn't work.

We trade away 2 players that are good for a 40 yrs old broken backed has been star and 2 2nd rounders.... SO CLASSIC trade proposal from another teams fan.

Oh yeah for that other person that said we over rate our own players, you should look at the mirror and other boards. It happens everywhere.

Ya'll gotta stop crying about the 09' draft it's over and done with. We'll just ship Tay and Jax to Cavs, Miami or Memphis or some other hell hole of a team. We just continue running with Randolph, AB, Steph, Morrow and go from there.

Have fun with your one eye gimp ( no pun intended ) which is why you guys want to trade him and not do an extension.

im OK w amare playing w one eye. the intimidation would more than make up for the lack of depth perception.

also, it would take at least one full season for stern to prohibit amare's assortment of hep designer eyepatches.

No one is ish talking here. Facts are facts. You have two franchise players who want OUT on a team that is rumored to be on sale. It's a "ishy" situation and those trade scenarios are a good way out of it for you.

Yet you come here and run your mouth like A disgruntled 8 year old who just got his toys taken away

You 2 NUBS should read the whole thread and see the insults and the bad things which were said about the dubs. And you don't expect a fan from that team to not see it or say nothing about it. SOME of you suns fans are really something. Some did bring some good basketball knowledge with the critisism. It's funny how someone starts insulting right away with " 8 yrs old " jokes and statements. seriously.

Just cause a trade went south or never happend with your team, you feel all hurt in the face still for it... get over it. Funny how just cause the other team is having some bad times you talk all bad about it, propose stupid one side bad trades just to say hay were giving you expiring contracts for your 2 best guys. Seriously.

There are some in this board ( suns ) that are very knowledgeable and respectful. Thumbs up to those.

Funny how GS fans wanted Amare sooooooo bad that they had like a 20 something page thread about him just a couple months ago, yet now he is a "One eyed Gimp". LMAO. Keep telling yourselves that Randolph can be the next Amare. He will never and i repeat NEVER put up the #'s Amare can! Just keep dreaming that everything is OK in Nelly-land! Have fun with your 30 win team! lol

I really do love GS fans. They make me laugh alot and make the day more interesting. They probably stumbled upon this thread when they came here to ask about Amare again. Last i heard, GS was positive that the Amare trade was a done deal, and you couldnt tell them otherwise! lol. So what exactly is GS's starting 5?

This is going to get locked very quickly if fans of both teams remember nobody REALLY knows what went on in the negotiating room/over the phone...Everyone just respect each other's boards
