Durant or Granger? Pick one.

Post#1 » by xxxSwiZzxxx » Mon Sep 28, 2009 4:55 am

I have the 6th pick in a draft....basic 9 CAT, 12 team H2H.......and I feel like it will come down to picking between Granger or Durant.

1) Just wanted to get opinions on who the better choice is and what your reasoning is. Some drafts are projecting Durant to possibly be top 3 fantasy player. Both players are very similar in stats except Granger has more 3 PTM and better blocks, while Durant has an edge in rebounding. Who is also more durable? Aside from Granges injury last year, he has been pretty healthy throughout his young career, same with Durant. Who would you guys take?

2) Also, if for whatever reason Granger or Durant get picked early and Dirk is available at 5....is he hands down the pick to make at 6 over Durant or Granger?

Thanks!

I find it pretty amusing that you basically explain the situation for each player, yet want us to explain our reasons when you have already given the agruments for each. I think you already know who you will take. But enough with the Yoda-like advice...

1.) Durant has more potential. Granger is the safer pick. Both have only had minor injuries so that aspect of the decision is a lock. I'd take Durant but really it won't matter either way.

2.) I'd take Dirk. It's tough to give an explaination, but I've noticed that the top teams in both roto and H2H leagues always seem to have Dirk. He's a great anchor with dependable %'s, points, rebounds, and 3's from the PF.

I'm pretty sure that Granger will go before Dirk. In most drafts;the top-5 are CP3-Bron-Wade-Kobe-Granger so Dirk will be there. And yes I'll take Dirk over Durant.

I just plane don't like Dirk's solid yet unspectacular game, I would take Granger and Durant over Dirk. I would take Amare and Dwight over him too if it was H2H.

I'd take Durant. They were pretty close, but KD could possibly have another major uptick this year.

I'd honestly take Durant after LBJ/Paul/Wade. I'd probably take him over Kobe too, just because of how much firepower the Lakers how, Kobe doesn't need to play/contribute as much.

You think he will raise his steals and blocks? At this point I am debating to take Nowitzki over both of them if he falls to me, just because he is a PF and they are tough tog et a good one...and he also seems like the safer pick with consistent numbers.

I'd rank them as Granger-Nowitzki-Durant right now.
