I'm more shocked at the fact that he weighed in close to 300 last season. Jerry Z wrote an article about Al recently-

I just hope he doesn't lose strength with that weight loss.

I think it was on the media day live stream that he said he turned a lot of his fat in to muscle.

You can't turn fat into muscle. You can trim down fat and build muscle, but one doesn't turn into the other. :-) Sorry, I'm just being a d-bag.

Not as a 1 to 1 ratio no, but fat is absolutely essential in rapidly building muscle as far supporting cellular walls and keeping testosterone levels up. A fat person has a nice advantage in building muscle because they can burn their storage instead of having to ingest 1/2 of their calories everyday from fat. Of course the catch 22 is that eating a lot of fat calories is probably only a problem if you're skinny, if you're a fatty fatty fat fat then it's probably the opposite.

Agreed, but you literally can't turn fat into muscle, or vice versa. But having fat makes it easier to build muscle because when you're burning calories they're burning fat instead of the muscle you're trying to put on. It's why body builders have bulking phases and cutting phases. Bulking is putting on the weight, the muscle and fat, and then when they're cutting, they're looking to cut the fat to make the muscle pop.

Maybe you can't turn fat into muscle, but you can turn fat into gold. It's true! I saw it on the internet. I'm going to be rich!!!

I believe he can fly
I believe he can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread his wings and fly away
I believe he can soar
I see him running down that open court
I believe he can fly
