League pass online

Post#1 » by CatNation » Tue Sep 29, 2009 8:02 pm

So I'm living in Boone NC for college and of course we don't get the games on TV here, but I wanted to know if I got league pass for my computer if the games would be blacked out in North Carolina?

Yes they will.

It's a conspiracy...the :censored: .

I do remember someone saying one way around it is to have a billing address not within the blackout zone.

So literally the only way for me to watch the games this year is on free justintv streams, when I'm willing to pay money to watch them with decent quality? lol. theres a big business failure in there somewhere.

Welcome to my world. I've said that exact same thing to my provider...but basically they don't care.

A lot of us are in the same boat and we try to look out for one another on BCP.

You can't expect to see every Bobcats game on jtv, maybe only 2 games a week.
The quality is crappy as hell and I wouldn't pay a cent for this.

I'm planning to buy ILP anyway. ;)

I don´t know if this is true for anyone else but....

I tried to buy LP last year and thankfully I bought a 24 hour package before going all in for the season because the software did not work at all, and I was never able to fix it or get any response from tech-support.

Nice business practices NBA, people are desperate to give you money for your product and you can´t get out of your own way. If Major League soccer can manage to have functioning streams for games than why can´t the much richer NBA figure it out?

if you have directv, just use a billing address that's outside of the blackout zone and change your billing to paperless. Then contact directv by email or phone and say "excuse me, I live in [billing address zip code] but I'm receiving Charlotte, NC channels. Could I please get the right local channels?"

Is it lying? Yes, yes it is. But it's a way around their nonsensical system which restricts people from getting the channels they should have access to anyway. I don't even know if it's the NBA or Directv who controls this bogus stuff, but more so the FCC or whatever.

All I know is it works for me. :)
