Love playing more minutes will help the team win more games. I see no reason why he would have to spell that out. If he had, people would be calling him cocky.

I love Kevlar, I think he is a good player with a chance of being great. I want the Wolves to play him more. I think he's an unselfish player.

Having said that...

I think he has a selfish off-the-court mentality. He is overly concerned about awards, accolades, and how others think of him. Insecurity, maybe? But if he uses it as motivation to be a better player, and thus helps the team win, I have no problem with it. He'll just come across as a whiny b-word, but a productive b-word.

Re-reading this, I mostly agree. Zgoda takes some short Love quotes and twists it to make his article work. The stuff Love said really isn't that bad if you take out Zgoda's interpretation.

It kind of seems that way. Other star athletes have successfully had this same mindset, so hopefully it makes him a better player.

I agree that Love is a little selfish. He defiantly cares about how he is perceived. That's not some horrible character flaw though, hopefully it drives him to do better.

As long as he's helping us get W's, I couldn't care less how Love feels about his rookie year lol. The issues would come if he tries to go out there and do too much to prove himself.

are you reading this Kevlar? if Anthony Randolph goes for 162ppg, 28apg, 33rpg, we expect no less than 175ppg, 40 apg, 84rpg and a plus 50 win share. That means no more late nite White Castle runs with your buddy McHale.

If he's running to McHale to get White Castle I'm fine with it. McHale's in Dallas. Love could use the cardio.

Love do Cardio? I bet he's more likely to ride a Segway to Subway to meet up with Big Al.

So far it seems like Coach Rambis loves him some Wayne Ellington. He has praised his B-ball IQ on multiple occasions.

I have it on my fun. Wish it was more mobile friendly. For some reason my school blocks it as a game sight.

Camp article from Canis- http://www.canishoopus.com/2009/10/1/1065606/more-camp

This part stood out the most:

Kevin Love got a brief and mild tongue-lashing/correction from Kurt Rambis about making good passes. Beyond that, Love really showed off his mid-to-long range touch. I can't repeat it enough: Love will be the team's best player this year. He is going to present massive matchup problems and he will put up huge numbers in the gaps of the offense. Even in a short scrimmage, I counted 4 possessions that he kept alive with offensive boards, taps, positioning, etc. He dove after loose balls, made slick passes from the top of the key to wide open outside shooters, and forced the defense to play him honest whenever he had the ball. Best of all, he did something we haven't seen for a long, long, long time with the Wolves: he ate up space in the paint on defense. Throughout the session, Love showed a fantastic ability to absorb contact, remain straight up and down, and alter shots. His lateral movement has clearly improved and he doesn't get caught out of position nearly as much as he used to do. Last year the Wolves had a single functional two-way player: Ryan Gomes. This year I'm pretty confident in saying that they have Gomes, Love, and Sessions.
