WEFFPIM's Tidbits, Blackhawks Opener Edition
-After the funniest, most ridiculous offseason in recent memory, hockey is back. If the regular season is anything close to as eventful as this offseason then I might have a stroke.
-Blackhawks went to the Western Conference Finals last season before ultimately turning the puck over roughly 79 times at the blue line and were ousted in 5 games. But don't worry, both Brian Campbell and Brent Seabrook are back.
-Biggest offseason acquisition was Marian Hossa, who signed a 12-year contract. Rejoice, fans! The Stanley Cup will elude us for another decade. But don't fear, because we may be getting...
-An Olympics! That's right, kids, by the beginning of the 2nd Period we should know whether the world will set its eyes on Chicago in 7 years times. Of course, we could also know that roughly two hours before the puck drops. The traffic will be horrendous regardless.
-Will the Panthers get into the playoffs for Christ's sake and stop making me look bad for picking them as a dark horse the last three years? God almighty, I'm sick of defending you, Kitties.
-First Brian Campbell spin-o-rama will be at the 8:00 minute mark in the 2nd period. Over or under?
-Cristobal Huet is now the netminder for you Chicago Blackhawks. Never before will we see such wild flailing and sliding.
-Patrick Kane needs to stop taking such stupid hooking penalties this season, but that's just my 0.20 cents.

That's all, Good Luck, Cristobal...and Go Blackhawks.

Sucks that the first game is in the middle of the day and right during the announcement of the 2016 Olympic games location.

Well, hockey and Olympic bid won't overlap now...

I'm actually really disappointed. Just...wow.

Scoreless after 1, Florida looks better right now.

Comcast broadcast is an abortion

Oh well at least we got a point. And at least Chicago won the Olympic bid...oh wait. At least the Cubs won today...oh wait. At least the Bulls are playing tonight...there we go.
