Inside Suns' Training Camp

Post#1 » by Swish14 » Sat Oct 3, 2009 6:02 pm

Last season, the Phoenix Suns missed the playoffs for the first time since 2003. Going into training camp, the Suns have a lot of young talent and new pieces. For some teams, camp is about getting back into rhythm but for Phoenix, it's about developing chemistry and working out the kinks that come with a revamped roster.

Entering his second season with the Suns after being acquired in the Jason Richardson deal last year, Jared Dudley gave HOOPSWORLD a behind the scenes look at the team's training camp.

I got some pretty good stories from Jared for this article. Let me know what you guys think!

I sort of agree. Once the season starts there'll be lots of news to catch up on between games so Dudley's tweets won't be a major source of updates  Until then I'll gladly read his stuff.

You just can't say enough about that kind of team chemistry.

Great read. I'm stoked for this season.

Very encouraging indeed.

It's like getting 5 talented buddies together to play 5 talented players who don't know each other. The friends will win most times.

Of course teams have training camps, systems, playbooks, etc.. But there is still something to be said for the chemistry being friends can create.

Last year the Suns had little to no chemistry and a very talented team missed the playoffs. I can't wait to see Nash connect with Amar'e, Hill and Barbosa again when things clicked like in the past. The defense won't be great no matter how good things are going, but this team is going to score a **** load of points!
