james changes shooting form?

Post#1 » by Canomad » Wed Oct 7, 2009 4:26 am

i dont want to overreact or anthing of that nature i just want to state an observation. i did not watch the game, but i did see the highlights. to me it looks like lebron changed his release and his form lookd good. especially on the 3 pointer he hit. i know alot of people criticize lebrons shooting form and his jumpshot overall. if he really did improve his shot then its lights out for the NBA imo because he simply will be the toughest player to guard in the NBA.

One of the assistant coaches- Chris Jent- has been working on his form for a couple years now.

He's actually been changing his form for years now.. And his shooting percentages has increased.

I was at the game, but on the other end of the court from where he was shooting and didn't see the highlights. Was his form last night actually different from last year when he did change his form while working with Chris Jent?

His form definitly looked better to me. His elbow was in and he squared his shoulders. If he can knock down the midrange jumper consistantly than there is literally no way to stop him anymore.

He was drilling his jumper that's for sure - from all over the floor.

Good observation, will watch for it more closely.

He looked way more comfortable and fluent in his shooting. It was nice to see. Here are a few observations based on 1 preseason game

1) West needs to be the starter - Parker is passive
2) Shaq is going to take longer than I think to get worked in our system
3) JJ Hickson should start
4) Danny Green runs weird
5) Moon was outstanding on defense.
6) Mo Williams needs his headband back

Lebrons form needed to change. I hope he will be on point with his jump shot this season.

The jumper continued to look very very solid tonight. If he continues that form all season long then teams are going to be in some serious trouble. You could already see the effects of it in game 1 where he was hitting his jumper so his man had to get up tight on him, and he was able to drive right around them with even more ease than normal. Lets hope he doesnt change his form as the season goes along.
