OT: College Math

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Wed Oct 7, 2009 7:57 pm

If anyone has taken or currently enrolled in college math 082 you would probably know what I'm talking about but if you haven't you still might know. Right now I'm working in chapter 4 which is basically all about fractions. I basically need to add/subtract/multiply/divide them in many different ways. What I was wondering is, does anyone know of any websites where you can type in a math problem and it comes out with the answer?

I'm not trying to cheat by the way, I just want to make sure I'm doing it right and I'm going to figure out the homework problems on my own.

So if anyone knows of any websites that would be great, doesn't have to be exactly like that but it would be appreciated...

It's called a calculator. And this probably isn't the forum to go to for Math questions anyway. LOL.

You can't do these problems on a calculator...

Sure, if you consider inanimate objects as friends, then I'm sure Mary has plenty. :D

Not sure if you saw this or not.

Enter each fraction in the fields provided (formatted like 1/3, 2 7/8, or 7/5), then select the operation you wish to perform (i.e. Add, Subtract, Multiple, or Divide).

Finally, click on the "Calculate" button to see the result.

For mixed numbers, be sure to leave a space between the whole number and the fractional part (i.e. 2 1/4 or 7 1/8, etc.)

So you can probably do it but you may have to do it in a few stages for each problem.

The good news...I got an 82.5% on the assignment and a 90% on the quiz.

The bad news...I still have to find a website where you can use square root symbols and brackets, so if anyone knows of one that would be great

Hopefully these two sections don't have many problems on the next test
