Offshore Gambling...

Post#1 » by DubaLakers » Wed Oct 7, 2009 4:54 am

Yea don't do it, lol. This is a public service announcement. :wavefinger:

No use betting on my Ravens or the Lakers this year, both are amongst the favorites. Anyway I did last year with my Ravens when their D was sick, bet for them to go all the way early and they got to final four. They just couldn't get over Ben the most underrated player in the NFL and the Steelers who they lost to 3 times last year. Anyway my consolation prize after losing my ass , $1300 :waaa: , is getting there betting books 24/7 and some skank calendar. Here are the NBA odds to go all the way...

LAL -120
CLE +120
BOS +200
SAS +300
DEN +400
ORL +500
POR +700
UTH +1200
MIA +1400
DAL +1800 (Upset special, lol)

It was $300 on my Ravens since day 1 to go all the way, then 1/2 hour before the game vs. Pitts AFC Championship I went Tony Montana and put 1K more down. And Deep's stupid Steelers pawned us for the third time in a row.

You remember on my "Lets talk memorabilia thread" where I wrote that I had a bad habit of gambling and collecting cards............ Also, when someone loses 13k you know he has won a high limit too. My biggest win 26k and 17k.

The 17k was on the 1995 UCLA finals bet since we actually knew Charles and Ed O'Bannon from Artesia High school and we balled with them and we took a chance on them actually losing. I believe the line was 12 and we took Arkansas + 12 and the game came down to ONE FREAKIN POINT and we won. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

The 26k was at the blackjack tabels in 2001 New Years Eve at Ballys when we decided last minute to go to Vegas for NewYears and then while my cousin was trying to talk to the pit boss about seeing if he can hook us up with rooms. While he was checking, me and my boys sat down started playing 200 to 300 dollars a hand so we can impress the pitboss that we were serious about staying there and all of a sudden we caught on fire.
In about 2 hours between me and my boysn (3 of us) we were up 48k+ and the pitboss gave us a suite COMP and had tried to change dealers 4 times and had the cards change 2 times which is unheard of.
It got to a point when he actually kept telling us "Dont you guys need to go and get ready" "If you want I can get you guys on the guest list for Rum Jungle". He was trying to get us off the table so bad.
Then we colored in and told him were going to go to Mandalay Bay.............. He was so pissed. Its like we robbed him while we were trying to give them our business but he didnt want our business at first until we started to take him for their money, and then he wanted us to stay there so he would have chance to get his money back.

We rolled out and ended up at Mandalay Bay and we partied till 7 in the morning and drove back the following day. One of my best New years I have had.

It does take balls to play at high stakes. The most I ever won gambling was $ 200 playing poker at a Casino in St Louis.

Sure, but add that with alcohol, a good amount of savings that you have saved up since you were in High school and the money I made in my business, stupid friends who inspire you and draw you in, the Vegas lifestyle, and what do you get .............. THE WORST ADDICTION you can ever imagine.

Im not going to lie. I made a ish load of money and spend a ish load of it on myself as well as my cars but I have lost a ish load of it too. Its like that movie 21, the highs are unbelievable. Your sitting on a table with chips all around you, your boys are laughing and your having a blast, you got bunnies jocking you................ BUT JAY JAY............ when you lose its the worst freakin feeling you can ever have next to losing someone you love. I mean there were times when we would fly back sick to our stomach that we just lost thousands, and the only thing you would think about is I'll be back next week to get it back, and we would. Same ish same way.
You know when your an addict??? When your freaking betting on a sport that you dispise so much, and you attend the games since you cant wait to see the final outcome.

Its not a good feeling, but I have gotten hooked pretty bad during a certain period of my life. Im glad that I didnt screwup my life bad like most addicts do. But hey we all go thru things in life that can either make us or break us.

Even though Im over it, I still get the ich at times, like last month I took my girl to Vegas since she grewup in the east coast and she has never been to Vegas, so I took her there and got back on the tables again. I did pretty good. I walked away with a 800 the whole weekend, thats with paying for the everything food rooms bottle service at Club Tao etc. On the flight back my girl told me "We had a great time didnt we" "We parited good food and you won 800.00 dollars" IF SHE ONLY KNEW.........

lol thats some good theory on gambling and to be fair if the odds do not totally betray you, its a good experience to go through but doing it week in week out is an addiction. Good for you that you kept a tab on it and I'm sure you have the smarts to know when to quit but you are right that the adrenaline rush you get from winning high stakes is almost comparable to winning a 100m sprint.

I put 100 with a NFL team and it was gone. It is fun to bet. Just bet what you can afford to loose.

Jay Jay, Brah I dont know if you gambled or played blackjack (One of my addictions) but if you know about balckjack then here a good example..... I use to split tens which is unheard of since its a strong 20 or I use to split every card I use to get duces, eights, nines against anything smaller than a 7s.

At times when I use to have soft hands like an ace with anything even nines that is a soft twenty I use to double down. Imagine these moves but with two three hundred dollars, sometimes my splits of double down would turn into 3 or 4 sometimes 5 hands and I would either win, or the dealer would pull lets say he had a 6 card in the whole he would pull a 3 then a 6 then an ace then 4 and he would pull 20s or 21s out of his arse and I would lose 1200 to 1500 hundred just on one hand that actually started with a 200 dollar bet............ I use to do ish when I would get hot and win that there would be two and sometime three pitbosses that would stand there and watch me play.

It would turn into a cricus too, specially if I was with my cousins and my boys. Lets say I would be 200 and I would win, well before I would win I would call out "I'll let it run 5 times" Man JAY JAY, I would win the first hand then let it ride and then the next hand I would get a double down " Boom" won that one too, then a blackjack, we let it ride by the fifth one there would be a stack of chips probably around 1500 to 1800+ hundred and we would let it run......... If the pitboss was cool then he would allow us to keep rollin the chips but if he was a douche he would say color them in and make it black (100.00 chips) and thats when we would pull the bet off the tabel since I felt that it was a jinx to change up the chips.......... I mean at times I would have chips sitting on top of each other about a foot +.......... and the pitboss would say its because the cameras cant see our table and they need to see how much chips are on the table which is a lie. It was his way of trying to jinx us or derail our bet.

I got to a point that by the first four or five hand I wouldnt know if that table was good or bad. In fact I got to a point that I actually would know by the first couple of hours if I was going to win that weekend or keep my money in my pocket and comeback next week. Oh and I would never take my girlfriend with me. Everytime I would lose she would say " Oh there goes my Gucci shoes" or "There goes a hand bag you couldve bought me" At times she would actually get mad at the dealer for the bad cards and she wouldnt even spend a dime.....IT WAS MY MONEY.... I could never win with her, and she knew it cause her eye was bad. You know when someone says she has a bad eye or her eye brings bad luck. Its sort of a middleeastern say " She has a bad eye"

Im telling you man at times it was a blast but at times it was a nightmare. But regardless I loved every minute of it. Would I do it again............... ahhhhhhhhh YA!!!! Definantly.
