Garnett is 33 years old, he's starting to decline (the injury last year). It's exactly this blind devotion to your team and your player that leads to aging lineups and being maybe "good enough to compete, but never quite good enough to win it all" for several years. At least the Pistons recognized this and blew up their lineup, starting from scratch. I dare anyone to say that the Celts are good enough right now to beat the Cavs or Lakers for the championship. Bottom line, you give me a choice right now, I take Bosh, Griffin, West over Garnett.
Consider yourself told. The Celtics will beat the Lakers because their ego maniac head coach had to take on a flawed player whose effort is related to his touches and he isn't going to get the touches he thinks he deserves and will destroy that team just like he has every other team he has been on. I think the under and over on Ron Ron saying the Lakers are his team and not Kobe's is Jan 22.
I think the Cavs are going to take a step back this season and LeBron will take a step forward, expect this discussion to be pointless because by the end of the season LeBron James will be the best PF anywhere.
