Let's get off the bandwagon for a bit and think about it realistically. If you had the choice of Garnett or Bosh, who would you pick right now, right now going forward. Garnett is 33 years old, he's starting to decline (the injury last year). It's exactly this blind devotion to your team and your player that leads to aging lineups and being maybe "good enough to compete, but never quite good enough to win it all" for several years. At least the Pistons recognized this and blew up their lineup, starting from scratch. I dare anyone to say that the Celts are good enough right now to beat the Cavs or Lakers for the championship. Bottom line, you give me a choice right now, I take Bosh, Griffin, West over Garnett.

The question isn't who you'd take in the future, it's about who the best PF is in the East. If you honestly think either of those three (including rookie Griffin, LMAO) is a better PF than Garnett, you need your head examined. Garnett's defense is in a different stratusphere.

That's a sanctimonious, narrow-minded way to think, broseph. It's a legitimate debate. I just wanted to see what Celtic fans wanted to say. The Raptors are a team on the rise and don't be shocked if you cats are dethroned sooner rather than later.

It's not a legititimate debate, Kevin Garnett is better than Chris Bosh. It's quite plain and simple. The Celtics will be in the playoffs this season and the Raptors will be watching from home. That team is not on the rise.

Consider yourself told. The Celtics will beat the Lakers because their ego maniac head coach had to take on a flawed player whose effort is related to his touches and he isn't going to get the touches he thinks he deserves and will destroy that team just like he has every other team he has been on. I think the under and over on Ron Ron saying the Lakers are his team and not Kobe's is Jan 22.

I think the Cavs are going to take a step back this season and LeBron will take a step forward, expect this discussion to be pointless because by the end of the season LeBron James will be the best PF anywhere.

This is how I sum up Garnett vs. Bosh: Garnett is still more of a winner than Bosh. Right now Bosh is more explosive and dynamic offensively but Garnett wins the mental/psychological toughness battle which is what separates the Good players from the Greats. I'll take a declining but still Great KG for 33-36 minutes of NBA action vs. A Very Good Bosh for 37-40 minutes. There's more to NBA basketball than scoring, style, and statistics... Garnett exemplifies this better than almost any other player currently in the NBA.

No it's not a debate. KG is a winner and a much better defensive player. He's exactly what the Celtics need. And he's better than Bosh, plain and simple. I have no problem discussing things with other teams posters, but this just is not a debate in my mind.

KG is a defensive monster but come on was he a winner in MIN? Has Bosh ever had PP and Perkins on one side and Allen and Rondo on the other? Was PP a loser with a losers mentality when BOS had no one around him to help?

KG can and has been a #1 on a championship squad. Bosh will never be that: he can only be a #2, a la Pau Gasol. I actually like Bosh, but to finally make an effort into putting weight on the summer before a CONTRACT YEAR is a little bit funny. If that's not a cry for help to get out of Toronto, then what is?

This season: we would have no shot at winning the championship with Bosh in place of KG. As it stands now, and if he rounds into tip top shape and knee is fine, I feel as if we are the team to beat.
