Ha--didn't hear the likes of Ray-Ray saying we all had to back George Bush and figure out how to help him achieve what he wanted to achieve when he was our 'coach'.

Achieve falsely attacking another country? Achieve torture? Achieve aggression? Achieve anti-environment laws? Achieve what exactly? Of course he wouldn't say that about Bush. He wants to back up a guy who's at the very least trying to do some positive stuff.

Like so many ... Ray Allen seems to believe Obama is about change and hope.

Don't believe the false reality.

The shadow government is and has been in charge for a long time and will continue to fool people in believing you have a real choice.

Well, bringing up politics on this board was a mistake.

As a hint: if you want someone to take you seriously, don't generalize an entire group of people and don't act like you've got it all figured out.

Anyway, Go Celtics?

And if you really want to consider the 'positive stuff' Obama's attempting that so pleases the global socialists in Norway, you might take in this Krauthammer article, it's a start: http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/P ... 6lfnpr.asp

Can't someone just post a positive Obama essay/article in response? No one is going to budge on their views regardless. This thread is just destined for bickering between Liberals and Conservatives.

And if it is/does that at least is a step above "We all have to support Obama in whatever he's trying to do because as president he's like our coach." Ray Allen is not so much articulate on politics as able to speak in relatively correct English and sincere in his sentiments. (Both fine qualities, by the way.)

Never claimed I had it all figured out, just voicing my opinion on what I see/hear every day from the majority of people in this state. Dont know how I "generalized" a group of people by claiming the majority of people in this state are libs...because well the majority is.

1. You said "you are sadly misinformed like every other dem/lib in this state". You are saying that every Democrat/Liberal (in Massachusetts) is misinformed. I'd say that's generalizing an entire group of people.

2. By saying they are "sadly misinformed" you are saying you know what is right and wrong. Otherwise, how can you say that they are sadly misinformed?

Those were your words, not mine. I just read them.

The failure in our government doesn't fall within the laps of the Republicans or within the laps of the Democrats, it falls within the blind partisanship that both sides fall into on every arguement. Terms like "misinformed liberal" and things like Ray saying "we all have to support Obama" are equally fail. None of you are a "Republican" or a "Democrat", you're a person with a mind and conscience that can decide your position on an issue regardless of which box you check on your ballot.

As for "shadow government", that's a joke. No one needs to be in the shadows when everyone is getting their information from our fail media anyways. Just look at the actions the Bush administration took while their regime was in office, they pillaged this country's economy right in front of our eyes. Then he got voted in for a second term. Anyone who makes less than 250k a year and supported George Bush is a fool, anyone who makes more than that and supported him is a greedy fool. Who needs a shadow government when you can do whatever you want and just spin it to the uninterested masses?

You do not know as much about this as I do, for I am informed and you are most uninformed! Grown men do not wear bow ties!

Does this make any sense? I don't care. Political threads on sports forums suck.

Before the lock, I'd like to say Obama's got balls. He wins an election promising to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, promising to stop promoting economic policies that expand the debt, promising to repeal the Patriot Act and stop the practice of warrantless wiretapping. Then, once he's in power, he does absolutely none of these things.

Judging from his actions, Obama IS George W. Bush.
