The rallying cry is win to get back to .500 by the bye. The Seahawks are coming off a thorough handing of asses by Peyton Manning and hoping to get one at home against Jacksonville. The 12th man is back on the field, but the Jags are on a roll. Enough about injuries, this a team that needs to step up and play better. Too many penalties and turnovers are killing any hope of getting right, but the bright spot is the relative lack of power in the Division. Give the 9ers some heavies to play against, capitalize on home field and we may be right back in the hunt. No quit lads, bust 'em up.
Injury update:
Seahawks-
Sims(LG) out, Hill(LB) out, Locklear (RT) out, Walt Jones(LT) done till week 7 or forever, Trufant(CB) out till the bye. Hasselbroke(QB) upgraded to probable. Kerney(DE) doubtfull with a pulled schlong/groin... probably both.
Jags-
Peterson(DE) out, Britton(RT) doubtful knee, Considine (S) doubtful, Seward (LB) doubtful
(Jags lead the league in groin injuries- what are they doing in the locker room? Should we trade Kerney over there?)
Things to Watch:
1-Matt's ribs- can he zing it? How does a sack go? Can the line protect him?
2-Due for a Julius Jones 100 yard game. He takes every other week off, so we should be in good shape this week at that rate.
3-O-Line... Barf last week. This week?
4-Jags passing attack. We're horrible in the Secondary.... and Gerard is coming on strong. Can not let the Jags get going early with the teams fragile psyche and lack of weapons.
Predictions-
Seahawks get up for this one at home. Jags are due for some gravity and lots of false starts.
