The Swamp H2H Fantasy Basketball League

Post#1 » by SpeedyG » Thu Oct 8, 2009 10:53 pm

League ID: 221632
Password: Same as the one we are using for the Roto league

Same scoring cats as what I always use for my H2H league, right now, positions are setup with one of each:

1 PG
1 SG
1 SF
1 PF
1 C
1 G
1 F
3 Util
4 Bench

I will modify depending on how many people join.

I'll join depending on how many people join :=D

Though regardless I recommend you limit the moves per week to 5 or less. I had it set at 4 in my league last year and it made the league so much more competitive and less cheesed come playoff time (as you didn't run into the guy who stays up until midnight drops half his roster and continues to do so throughout the week so he has a ridiculous amount of guys playing each week)

I'll consider reducing the number of weeks, though given how long we've been doing this, we've never really have a problem of anyone cheesing. If they do, JJ has the ban-hammer

I would really like to join but i've never done this before. Is it as easy as vincecarter4pres' football fantasy league? Are the rules for the league provided like the one in our football league?
If so, please count me in. Thanks!

You draft a team of players. Each week you have an opponent. The game totals the number of points, rebounds, assists, etc. that all of your players had that week.

If you had more points than your opponent you get 1 point. If you had more assists than your opponent you get 1 point. If your opponent had more rebounds than you they get 1 point, and so on and so forth...

So yeah it's simple enough... Part of the strategy is deciding which players you are going to play each day.

If you have 10 people on your roster but 8 active and 2 bench roster spots, than only the 8 guys in your active roster spots accumulate stats for that day...

I could go on and on but as I stated before there really is nothing that complicated about fantasy basketball.

Drafting is the most important aspect of the game.

I appreciate the simple and detailed explanation. Thanks!

Your not just good in designing calendars and avatars. Besides from being a good artist, you can post too and very helpful. The league hasn't started but you're an early MVP candidate already. MVP?

I'm going to open up my personal league to RealGM'ers for the first time:

viewtopic.php?f=336&t=949668&p=20920506#p20920506

I'll give members of the Nets board first preference so if you're interested just drop me an e-mail. Also though the maximum amount of teams is "16" if demand is enough I'll increase the max to 18.
