Losing Delonte Would Set Us Back
Does anyone know the status of Delonte and whether we are losing him or not? He's been the biggest factor in the strides the Cavs have made, even moreso than Mo in my opinion. His ability to do it all at the two guard, handle the ball, pass, shoot, penetrate, play elite defense, made our team a more complete team, not the one dimensional Lebron-do-everything team that we've been in the past. You cant replace a glue guy like that with rent-a-vet Anthony Parker. With Delonte, Shaq and Mo I liked our chances to win win the title this year, but without him I'm not sure we are good enough.

I'm not sure enough we're good enough even with him. But I agree that losing him would be a tremendous hit. That being said, I have no doubt that he'll be okay by the time the season rolls around.

Anthony Parker isn't any worse than Delonte. And no, we are not losing him.

D-West is my favorite player on the current squad but with Parker we will be fine without him in the short term. If you've been watching the preseason games it's pretty evident that Parker is not washed up at all, he is drilling jumpers, playing great defense, making nice passes, etc.
I agree we need Delonte back to win a title (even with him LA is still better to be realistic, we would need a little luck)
I'm guessing it will be like last year where he misses part of training camp but is good to go by the time the season starts.

Meh Delonte isn't one of the best shooters in the game. AP is.

Celtics fan here. My wife laments to this day us losing him. I hope he does well. Lincoln was bipolar, so hopefully he'll do well.

Re: Losing Delonte Would Set Us Back
The issue seems to be that in the off season he doesn't take his meds and then when he starts (just before training camp) he ends up having issues. Considering he was caught riding a motorcycle with lots of weaponry, he might need to take his meds year round.
