Let's Remain Humble
I know I know, we have every reason to be excited.
1.) We are 3-0
2.) We are in 1st place in the NFC EAST
3.) We are in 1st place in the NFC
4.) We just beat the Bears in their house
5.) We made the bears D look average at best
6.) TO is TO
7.) Marion Barber is a beast
8.) Tony Romo is well Tony Romo
9.) Tony Romo
10.) Tony Romo
But we haven't done anything yet. And I am not accusing anybody of being cocky, but I want to remain cautious. I am greedy and we have 13 games left. The last time we went 3-0 was back in 1999 and we lost in the wildcard. We started out 8-3 last year, got real excited only to finish 9-7 and we know what happened in the wildcard.
I understand that we have the Rams and Bills coming up, lets not overlook those 2 opponents and pencil them as wins already. Sometimes, we have to take what is ours.
We have a date with the Patriots on Nov. 14th and that game is going to be huge.
At the same time, take nothing away from our team. We are all proud of our beloved Cowboys. Lets celebrate tonight and for the rest of this week, but we got a lot of work to do still.

Very true.
Speaking of St Louis, I hope Newman doesnt play much against them, or for that matter against Buffalo that much. We need him at his very best (or at least at the best he can be) against the Patriots. Getting Ellis back will really help us too. I dont like the St Louis matchup though. Theyre 0-3, Steven Jackson has yet to explode. Its very winnable but not a lock by any means. We should be able to get to bulger a lot though.

We gave up 35 points to the Giants and 20 to the Fins.
imo, our defense is above average at best right now. That will improve as the season progresses and we get Ellis back.
But certainly it seems that there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic at this point.

I've been suffering from disappointing heartbreak for too many yrs now to NOT be humble. I'm VERY excited though. Right now we are looking very versatile and unpredictable with out new offense.
If we get Newman back to himself at some point and get Ellis back even at 85% at some point and maybe even Glenn at some point? Is that asking for too much?
Just stay healthy and we'll be fine.

So far so good but if you guys think about it, every team that we have beaten up to this point are below .500. (The bears lost again and they are 1-3).
I know it is tough not to think ahead to the playoffs, but lets stick to our theme of remaining humble. Most importantly, we need to remain healthy so hopefully nothing bad will happen to us
. 8 more games to play before Jan.
Let's Go Boys!

Here's a humbling stat. In the first four weeks of the season, the Cowboys' opponents are a combined 2-13. Albeit, we've crushed them quite easily, something we haven't been able to do in years past. I just hope everyone (well mostly the team) is focusing on the Buffalo game at Ralph Wilson next Monday.
As for the defense. I'm quite excited. Just imagine for a second.
Wade Phillips' history
+ Ware's emergence
+ Roy Williams
+ Anthony Henry/Terence Newman healthy
+ Greg Ellis healthy
+ Tank Johnson coming in and being effective
I got excited just typing that...

Beating up some weak teams. Oh well, not like the Pats and Steelers are playing on playoff teams. And look what happened to the Steelers against another supposed sorry team yesterday. Opponent records don't mean much, you still have to go out there and prove youre the better team and we've done that each week and I'm happy with that. The Bills game is one of those games that we need to show up and prove it again. Then of course the Pats game can mean something. Can't wait!

Definitely the most exciting game of the season, but we played sloppy and we're gonna have to do MUCH better to compete with the Pats.

I'm beyond humble. I am pretty pesimistic by nature when things are going well. The "too good to be true" kinda guy. I think this team is one game away from making all the bad memories of the past 11 yrs come flooding back in my mind.
But I warn you, if we win tomorrow, it's going to be tough to keep this humble thing going much longer.

Minhee, I think you should be a little more optimistic, the Cowboys played relatively well, and although theyre not as good as the Pats, theyre good enough to steal a win against them on any given day.
I think that the Bills near loss was much worse than losing to the Pats (in a game that was much closer than the final score indicated).
