New Record Predictions

Post#1 » by Newz » Tue Oct 13, 2009 3:49 pm

So now that we are 2-2 and we have seen the teams weaknesses, how good do you think this team will be? I honestly have some serious concerns and I think another season of underachieving is going to cost McCarthy his job. Here is what I see: (Games I think we will win highlighted in bold)

Sun., Oct. 18 Detroit Lions
Sun., Oct. 25 @ Cleveland Browns
Sun., Nov. 1 Minnesota Vikings
Sun., Nov. 8 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sun., Nov. 15 Dallas Cowboys (Gold pkg.)
Sun., Nov. 22 San Francisco 49ers
Thurs., Nov. 26 @ Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
Mon., Dec. 7 Baltimore Ravens
Sun., Dec. 13 @ Chicago Bears
Sun., Dec. 20 @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sun., Dec. 27 Seattle Seahawks
Sun., Jan. 3 @ Arizona Cardinals

Really, with how we have been playing, those four games are the only ones I really see us as 'locks' to win. The Vikings look like they are far superior, the 49ers have been playing some very good football (besides last week), Baltimore is a much better team than us, we play Chicago at home, the Steelers are always tough, Seattle is playing great with Hassleback healthy and Arizona is a tough match-up for anyone so long as Warner can stay healthy.

It scares me to think that we could be staring another 6-10 season in the face. That would be awful.

9-7. We can beat the lions, browns, bucs, niners, lions and seahawks. thats 8 right there. We could squeeze out another win between all the rest of the tough games.

I'm sticking with 11-5. Losses at Pitt, Chicago, and vs. Ravens. I think we win our next four games and people get back on the bandwagon.

This is a good question. And it is being posed at a good time when the both the chicken littles will run and the TT believers will have faith. I could make a compelling argument either way, with the big lynchpin being Tauscher and Clifton.

I'm going to say 8-8. This feels like a Ray Rhodes 1999 type season. But I think there could be upside if Raji comes on as a player.

I'll stick with my original prediction of 9-7... Though I do so cautiously as there are only four games (like I said above) that I think we should win for sure.

11-5

I think we win seven, lose three straight, win two.

I'm going to stick with 9-7, again with the thought that this is a team that can win more, but I want them to prove it to me.

I forgot what my initial prediction was. I think I probably said 12-4 but I'm going with 10-6. The only team that has beaten the Packers so far is the Packers. I see @ Pittsburgh, @ Chicago, and @ Arizona as very tough games and the rest are all games the Packers are very capable of winning. I think they'll drop one of them, though. Just not sure which one.

10-6. We SHOULD win at the least, three out of our next four, hoping the Queens come into Lambeau and we can pick up the W.

I'm lowering my prediction mainly because how I feel about the competition, rather than the team. I still feel pretty good about this team. As I mentioned in another thread, our 2 losses are to a 5-0 team and to a 4-1 team that lost on a fluke play to a 5-0 team.

I honestly think we will lose to Detroit on Thanksgiving.

That doesn't take an extraordinary leap of faith. That game gives us trouble no matter how good we are and how bad they are.

I thought 11-5 prior to the year, now i'm in the 10-6 or 9-7 camp mainly because the schedule is so favorable. The team isn't as good as i thought though.

The many holes on this team have become painfully obvious (running game, o-line, pass rush, etc). I'm still thinking 10-6 is more than reasonable given the schedule, but this team isn't were I thought it would be at this point.

I sincerely believe that we have the talent necessary to do some really good things and catch fire. I'm just slowly starting to lose faith that this coaching staff can get us there.
