Seriously, he is worse than Etan and just as good as McGee at a 60 overall (granted they lowered the ratings, but Kurt Thomas and Kosta Kufos are also both better). Man, some serious hate for our starting C.

Maybe Eddie Jordan did the player ratings. There are aspects of Haywood's game that don't really translate to a video game rating very well, but to have him rated as a marginal NBA player is ridiculous. One thing I noticed with earlier NBA video games is a big guy would be better than a small guy with the same rating. For example Dwyane Wade may have a A for his blocking rating, however since he is only 6'4" he won't block shots the same way as say Jermaine O'Neal who is 6'11" but should probably have a B blocking rating.

Chris Paul was on the cover in 2008 and he had his best season ever; Shaq was on the cover in 2006 and won the title.

I dont know the list of players on the cover of NBA2K but Kevin Garnett and Tony Parker–who were featured on the covers of NBA 2K9 and NBA Live–suffered injuries during the 2008-09 season.

lakers are curesd. no repeat, :)

I played the demos for both games (Live, 2k) and Live still seems too unrealistic for my taste but I rented 2k10 and its awesome, I also like the my player mode (even though I'm a D-leaguer  ). I do find the computer harder to beat but I never checked what the difficulty was on but I think 2k has once again improved the game.

Player mode is fun, but I don't think it lets you take it off 5 min quarters. That sucks because I want realistic stats. Overall, though, it is still pretty fun.

In my player mode, I ended up getting drafted by the Timberwolves as a 6'3 point guard with their 28th pick. Even though I did very well in summer league, I ended up getting cut because the T-Wolves already had 2 top 6 pick point guards.

I end up getting invited to training camp by several teams. I accepted the one from the Washington Wizards as I hoped to beat out Randy Foye, Mike James, and Javarris Crittenton. Well I end up making the roster, but the Wizards end up cutting Brendan Haywood and keeping all of their guards. The Wizards also keep Andray Blatche out of the rotation, as Bruce Bowen and Dominic McGuire see minutes at center and power forward ahead of him. Javale McGee and Crittenton are on the injured reserve and Melvyn Ely who apparently made the team over Haywood.

In the my player mode, the Wizards have a starting lineup of:

Arenas
Foye
Butler
Jamison
Oberto

In about 30 seconds into the game, I come in for Oberto which make the lineup:

Me
Arenas
Foye
Butler
Jamison

Needless to say, my team puts up a lot of points but is very soft against bigger teams like Boston.

Live is actually better than 2k this year. First time in a long time that has happened

I'm trying to figure out how this game is any different than 09. Besides the fact that they added some new statistical features to Association mode, the game play is practically the same...

There's this quote the 2K Insider uses in the My Player Mode... Goes something like this;

"It's not about how many hours you put in, it's what you put in the hours"

Every time I hear him say this, I think of Andray Blatche and his new "7 days attitude"... After seeing him play yesterday against Philly, I think we'll be better of trading him... I'm done rooting for this dude... He's just never gonna get it...
