Week 6: Lioins @ Packers Pre-Game Discussion

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Wed Oct 14, 2009 3:34 pm

Noon on Sunday.

Via Adam Schefter, it's looking like Megatron won't be playing on Sunday due to a sprained knee. That would be a monster blow to the Lions, a team I honestly want no part of right now.

Calvin is out, Stafford is questionable, the Lions D is still horrendous, we're at home, and we're off of a bye. If we don't win this game we should contract the team.

Green Bay - Here are a few news and notes from coach Mike McCarthy:

Korey Hall is out for this game.

DeShawn Wynn has a knee.

Atari Bigby was full. "He's had two very good days as far as his rehab."

Chad Clifton was full. "I think it's important for Chad to work today and tomorrow and then se where we are."

Said T.J. Lang did a nice job against the Vikings and he's working at left tackle this, but McCarthy wouldn't say yet who would start if Clifton can't.

Quinn Johnson will be active on Sunday.

Brandon Underwood will be active also on Sunday.

Went outside for the team period today.

Aaron Rodgers is a very coachable quarterback...I expect him to play at a high level this week.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Korey Hall has really ceded all his snaps to Kuhn this season, which is a bit surprising, but him being out doesn't help special teams.

I almost wouldn't mind giving TJ Lang the start and letting Clifton rest for one more week. He absolutely needs to be healthy for the Minnesota rematch. And who knows? If Lang impresses, his versatility allows us to put pressure on every starter on the line to perform or they'll get benched for him.

Just heard on the radio that Jermichael Finley spouted off on Twitter saying that the Lions are horrible team and that he can't take them serious. Uggggh... Dude you guys aren't playing that great right now either and don't sleep on the Lions.

So much for that mature Jermichael...

Not smart but not as bad as it came across on the radio. Obviously media trying to make a story probably. Thanks for finding that DB.

Oh well, hope the Pack come out and take care of biz at home for a change.

I'd go outside for that as well. Seriously. Who wrote this? Grammar much?
