I'm a lot more concerned about Grant maintaining his good health than his regression as a basketball player. That he missed nearly all of his first four season with Orlando is a very relevant point to bring up. Fact of the matter is, before he arrived in Orlando, he was well on pace to have racked up at least 1000 games by now, but that long hiatus changed all that. Grant doesn't have a whole lot of mileage on those legs. He's been broken down by surgery after surgery and that has manifested in losses to his athleticism. However, he's in good enough shape even at this age to continue playing at a high level for a while.

He's in great shape, he still has supreme baksetball IQ/instincts, and his midrange J has been polished more than ever. Add the fact that Phoenix has a great medical staff, I can easily see him playing for several more years barring the re-aggravation his ankle injury (knock on wood), or anything extreme.

Yes. He's been looking younger and younger - and not just because of his hair

I'll start him at SF on many teams right now. My main concern too is his health. If he can keep that up we still have quite a steal on our hands.

To be honest, even now, I get chills whenever I see him diving for loose balls, hopping into the stands, taking charges, or landing from a dunk/layup/jumpball (whether awkward or not). I guess all those years of seeing him go down because of that ankle have left its mark on many fans

As long as those same heel injuries don't happen again though, you will have a very good player on your hands for a long time. With what he's making on a yearly basis, he will always be a steal if he's on the court.
