wow. does bob johnson even have 60k to pay the fine? we might have to make the team ride greyhound to our away games to save money.

From http://www.hoopinionblog.com/2009/10/ha ... ts-90.html

Larry got his 2nd T from Kevin Scott, who never got within 35 feet of Brown before, during, or after the call. Brown tried to engage any of the refs on the occasion of his ejection but none would speak with or possibly even look at him. Rather than deal with the issue directly, Scott walked to the opposite end of the court and appeared to attempt to enlist a befuddled police officer in asking/making Brown leave the court.

From the Observer today: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/bobcat ... 02096.html

Brown didn't speak with reporters immediately after the game. Asked the next day if he deserved to be ejected, he said, "I'm sure I did."

Asked about the numerous fouls being called this preseason by replacement refs, Brown said it reminded him of summer-league games, when action is constantly stopped by whistles and "you never get to see the kids play."

That apparently was the comment that cost Brown and the Bobcats $25,000 each, because there was little else he said Tuesday regarding the officiating.

And Rick Bonnell even offers the following additional info: http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_n ... hment.html

Now some important context: Brown made every effort to change the subject. He said the lack of flow in basketball pre-dates the referees filling in during the current labor impasse.

He got off on a tangent

– an interesting one – about how to fix the game he loves. And that was the substance of the story I wrote in Wednesday’s Observer.

This fine is absurd....
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

^ Sounds like Bonnell is afraid the Bobcats are going to blame him and he'll now lose his newfound access. Don't you figure that extra 25k is for what LB said and Bonnell wrote?

if that is all LB said, i agree with vg, its absurd. i was expecting to read that LB went on a serena williams type tyrade and threatened to shove the ball down someoboy's throat.

if he's going to get fined like this, he might as well get his money's worth. I agree with everything he's said, the game has diminished over the years and it's now run by the refs. That was pretty damn clear when they awarded Miami the championship by sending Wade to the foul line every other possession the whole series.
