Steelers linebacker James Harrison was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Steelers 28-20 win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
Harrison applied pressure on Lions quarterback Dante Culpepper all day and came away with three sacks for a loss of 24 yards. He also added a forced fumble. Harrison was tied for the team lead with eight tackles in the game, seven of them solo stops.
After the game Harrison was asked about the Steelers pass rush, which resulted in a total of seven sacks.
"We had it going today and our guys did the job,” said Harrison.

harrison played great. its taking a while for our pass rush to get going but hopefully its headed in the right direction now. finally woodley got his first sack of the year i was glad to see that.

Woodley along with everyone else needs to step up and do what they do best to keep the defense up to strength.

timmons needs to get going to also. harrison, woodley, and timmons are all freaks. with the exception of harrison who is comming on the past few games they really need to pick it up with smith gone now.
