I vote we give him another hour or two, and since we know who DeniEd wants, he can give us a back up pick, and we'll work from there.

That's absolute bull. I've been around just as long as him and just as active. You're only saying this because you're friends with him. If it was any other poster you wouldn't care at all.

I don't care if we bend the rules for him, but again, do it at the start of the round not in the middle of it.

On what grounds could you make such a claim?
Have I ever once been a biased poster on the trade board?
I like to think that i'm pretty unbiased.

Now answer me this, if Gremz had say, Dirk Nowitzki, or Kevin Garnett, or Tim Duncan, instead of Brandon Roy, would that affect your opinion on letting him wait, at all?

Yet your being biased right now.

Regardless of who he picked 1st round, the rules is that you have a three hour time limit and then people after you get to draft. That's the rules. His time has expired, therefore I'm drafting now.

You guys wanted a game in which the draft would be on hyperspeed instead of normal time slots.

I don't care if he gets to change his pick after he gets back or not, I've always thought that was fair, but you can't hold up the entire draft for the sake of one poster...and that applies to whoever.

1. How can this be an indicator of me being biased, when it's the first case of it's kind?

2. I didn't set up the rules, i joined late, so why are you trying to thrust that responsibility on me?

3. This game is about fun and friendly competition right? You know as well as I do, that in games like this, and fantasy sports in general, a bad auto-pick can ruin the whole game for a player, that's where I see the problem.

well if his time has passed, denied should get his pick, since it wasn't the default pick. I also would be fine with allowing extra time if Gremz wants to change from Jameson (or LMA), but denied shouldn't have too wait any longer. Everyone that signed up, knows the rules, if you can not check in, send a list

The only player i'd feel comfortable autodrafting to Gremz, would be LMA, who i am 99% sure he'd rather have than AJ.

Final post of the day for me.

I'm not trying to be a douche, and I know a bad auto-pick can ruin the a whole draft, which is why I feel that whenever gremz comes back he can draft whoever he wants (if he didn't want AJ). But I shouldn't have to wait on my pick simply because he isn't here yet.

Alright, than give him LMA, and draft who you want.

In my opinion nobody's imposing themselves on this game, it's just one player trying to let another player get a pick in. They aren't saying that's how it's going to be, they're just giving their input on how to resolve the situation.

How about we skip Gremz now, and whenever he gets back he gets to pick for this round? Is that a fair compromise?

I don't know why this is such a big deal. Nie, why don't you just send a list? I think that most people should have some backups ready at all times.

*EDIT: shouldn't have let the post sit for 5 minutes before posting.

^^Very true. In fact, it's a real game-killer especially since this game is -all- draft.

Alright, I'm out for a while.

I think we should wait for Gremz given the time zone restraints. I've made that my .02. He indicated to me he wouldn't be thrilled with LMA, but I'm not sure where his head is at now.

My thoughts on the matter:

Gremz should have left a list.

That being said, Gremz is one of the more respected posters in these games and more than a few people heard him talking LMA.

with that being the case, I think if Vintage considers that a list, it's as good as a list for me.

And Denied. If you're leaving town, leave a list. Period. I understand your other concerns, but this is Vintage's judgement call. If he considers his correspondence with Gremz to be a list, then I'll back that. If not, give him AJ and he can adjust the pick when he gets in.

Guys. This is a game. On a message board. Have some understanding and don't get bent out of shape if things go your way.

Denied, make you pick if it isn't LMA, if it is, send me a list, I pick after you. mh478@lab.icc.edu. When Vintage makes the judgment call we'll move on.

LMA it is.

Denied is on the clock as of 10:32EST, so he's on until what, 10:28 tomorrow morning?

Sorry guys, internet has been down for a few hours. I understand that you guys want to make it fair, but shouldn't you stick to the rules that dcash laid out? Wouldn't really be be ethical to give me special treatment.
