19-0

I can't see it not happening if it's something Belichick wants. If he decides to rest guys at 13-0 I'd also respect that.

I would love to see Patriots with 19-0 record, but IMO it's almost imposible. There probably will be injuries, crucial turnovers and another unpredictable things which can change games decisions. And it's NFL, for crying out loud, so many games are decided by one score, it's almost imposible to predict anything.

I have a feeling this is the kind of thread peopel are going to sticky and laugh at when we lose a game the first few weeks. (hopefully that doesn't happen)

I'm the biggest Pats homer around (and proud of it!), but doubt they can run the board. The biggest reason why I think so is that I expect them to have an almost entirely new offense this year, using mostly 3WR sets.** If the past is any indication, it takes a few weeks of regular season work to fully integrate a new system, like when we went to a 3-4 and got off to a bad start. It seems to be the same with other teams as well.

My prediction is the Pats get off to a slow start as they adjust to the new system, say 2-2, then catch fire and end up around 12-4/13-3.

**I just can't believe they would bring in two guys who are almost stereotypes of what you want in a 3WR set (Welker as the dynamic Hakim on Rams esque slot guy, and Moss as, well, Moss; the deep threat that made the 3WR work so well in Minny), and then just stick with the 2TE base. I also can't imagine they would want Kyle Brady on the field more than any of the top 4 receivers.

While I love the Pats, I'm going to pass on this one. I could see a 13-3 or 14-2 regular season, but 16-0 that I doubt.

its highly unlikely, and the percentage i envision when i say highly is like 99, but if any team, on paper, has been poised to finally surpass the ('72?) dolphins, its this one

Don't count out the Bills, they could be competing for a Wild Card spot this year.

Locked down? They went 10-6 last year in a season where nearly everything went right for them. Unless the upgrades they made work out really well, I don't see a repeat season coming. I guess the Bills' schedule might work against them, but it's not like they had an atrocious season last year.

the bills comment was funny.....

also, mang has shown he likes to take chances. it may pay off again this year. the bills ? not risk takers.

McGahee was (and is) a below-average running back. Replacing him isn

I think the 72 Dolphins have one thing going in their favor, out of the two teams that are good enough to go undefeated, only one can possibly do it since they play each other. If the Colts and Pats didnt play each other, the 72 Dolphins would have been screwed. Not only would there be two chances for their record to be broken, but both teams would push each to play their best due to fighting over home field advantage.
