Would you guys do this?

Trade:
Outgoing: Jason Witten
Incoming: Someone's trash.

Why? Witten is on the No-Cut list, and I have Carlson who has put up similar numbers. I need flexibility and there are a couple decent RBs available (Ray Rice, Pierre Thomas)

Thats a tough call, but I could see Witten still putting up good numbers this year.....Do you need a RB or just want to pick up someone?

Pick 1 PPR

Winslow @ Car
Heath Miller @ Clev

Also, both of them are on bye the same week and I was offered Witten for either, would you do it? I would be in a tough spot come their bye week if I don't do something....

I have 4 RBs, but nothing standout (Barber, Tomlinson, Mendenhall, Grant) so I figured the roster flexibility might be able to add some points through playing matchups.

I'm still trying to decide on Johnny Knox or Mario Manningham for my No.3 WR spot, my league isn't a PPR and also doesn't count return stats.

I'm leaning Knox at the moment because Atlanta has a weak pass defense and I believe that game will be a shootout while the NYG/NO game will be more of a grind out game. What do you think?

I'd agree with that. The Giants are still fundamentally a running team, IMO. The Saints D is going to do a far better job of pressuring Eli than the Falcons will do on Cutler. It's a bit of a toss up, but go with your gut.

alright my "have too many rb's" problem rears its head again

2 spots

adrian peterson vs. ravens
brandon jacobs vs. saints
ryan grant vs. lions
pierre thomas vs. giants
fred jackson vs. jets
rashard mendenhall vs. browns

i was leaning toward mendenhall and grant, thoughts?

Some sweet matchups there, but I've got to choose 2 from each, plus a flex. Leaning Turner, Bradshaw, Smith, Bowe, Ward, since LT needs to prove he's back, Cadillac looked shaky last week and could lose touches to Ward, and Avery loses out to 3 other WRs with great matchups. Any other opinions?

I need more opinions. I'm really torn here. Anyone else care to weigh in? I'm actually leaning toward putting Avery in over Ward (sneaky feeling that Pitt will use this matchup to Holmes back into the swing of things, and they should be up so far that they'll be running out the 2nd half), and LT over Bradshaw (both NO and Denver bring great Ds, but LT should come out on Monday night with something to prove). So that's Turner/LT/Smith/Bowe/Avery, with Ward/Cadillac/Bradshaw on the bench...

I'm of the opinion that you start your studs and trust that they'll get it done. AP is a must-start every week unless he is injured or on BYE, he's simply too good to be on your bench. I'd also go with Grant vs. DET. Mendenhall looks good against the Browns but he's banged up and has to share carries, Grant doesn't.

AP and Grant.

Okay, I need some help.

QB
Matt Ryan vs. Chicago
Joe Flacco vs. Minnesota

RB
Darren Sproles vs. Denver
Ahmad Bradshaw vs. New Orleans
Pierre Thomas vs. New York Giants
Steve Slaton vs. Cincinnati

I can only start 2 RBs.

I picked up Garrard off waivers since he's going up against STL. I figure he'd have the best game because of the defense he's facing. Minnesota & Chicago are tough defenses.

Jackson FOR SURE. Rice against Minny? Thomas against NYG? Much rather have the double threat on the ground and in the air in a game likely to be a shootout. He has no touchdowns this year -- expect that to change this week.

Ugh, so I sat Ward, Bradshaw, and Cadillac. They've all got 1st half touchdowns. Steve Smith hasn't caught a pass yet, and Bowe has a whole 30 yards. FML.

Going into the late games

I'm up 16. If I started Schaub and Rice, I could have been up a bit more.

I still have faith in Turner and Hasselback :)
