Palamalu & Mendenhall starting against the Browns

Post#1 » by Anklebreaker702 » Sat Oct 17, 2009 1:59 am

Troy is back & Mendenhall gets the nod over Parker even after missing practice earlier in the week with the Flu. I know I sound like a broken record but Parker has never been a great back. IMO he barely gets the nod for good. What he is, is fast. That's all. I hope the give my boy Mewelde some carries, he's actually a better runner than them both but the others have a higher salary and 1 is younger & the other has a bigger name.

parker has lost a step thats for sure. if mendenhall keeps performing i would go with him. it was rough watching parker the first few games, he could hardly get past the line of scrimmage and got stuffed in the backfield time after time. with mendenhall to me its all about about reps. the more playing time he gets the more confident he will be with his ability, and the better he will play. troy coming back is huge its just not the same when 43 isnt flying around and causing havoc on D.

I'm glad Mendenhall is getting some opportunities at RB. He needs to take advantage of them. I wished that Mewelde was getting the nod since he prove his worth to the Steelers last season when both WP and Shard went down with injuries.

You're right about the defense without TP43 but our next 3 games are at home vs. the Vikings, @ Denver, then the rematch against the Bengals @ Heinz. That's when we need him at 100% I would have kept him out especially with a bye week coming after the Vikings game.
